It is understood City would now be willing offload Henriksen for £3m in order to recoup funds and also remove one of the club’s highest earners off the wage bill.

Article says they were asking £6 million!!!! Now prepared to accept half.
Can't believe they didn't get at buyer at £6 million.
Don't see them selling him at the new price; even more so when his wage demands won't be exactly small.

I think the Rooney to Derby move is good for them . It reminds me of us bringing Okocha in , even if he doesn't get loads of minutes on the pitch it must give a buzz about the place and increase the lads there by 10% . Reading The Decade , that is excactly what Jay Jay did for our lads by all accounts and that season didn't end too badly .

To all those suggesting Rooney is a coach to avoid FFP are wrong. All staff costs including players, coaches, stewards, tea ladies etc.... Go towards the FFP calculations.

Derby will get a sponsor to pay for it and a huge commercial boost. But they will definitely have to include his wages in the calculation.

One hell of a signing mind.
