I see LCFC struggling massively, next season.

I may have to bump my spiral thread.

... the same as I think about our apparent interest in the Ayew brothers and Gary Cahill ... we have Demarai Gray and Fouseini Diabate already for the wide positions (both great prospects but need to step up) and have apparently made bids on Malcolm and another couple of Afican wide men ...

... so it's bollocks ...<laugh>
You mean you hope it’s bollocks.

Actually I rated both the fullbacks who were similar style players. The other one has gone to Dundee I think. They both got forward well but had little to target in the middle and it was impossible to prevent every cross coming in which is what was needed as the number of goals conceded from wide deliveries was ridiculous. The real problem was that none of the centre halves seemed capable of defending a cross. Don’t know where they’ve all moved on to and don’t care. No surprise that the first signings the new manager made were centre halves. I doubt Louis will ever feature in the PL for you. I’d love to see it happen but he must be there to flesh out the League Cup squad.

United have made an official approach for Harry Maguire and been politely informed that the player is not for sale ... they may try again but given our owners normal behaviour on transfers where we don"t want to sell, I doubt very much that we will change that stance ...

Hopefully. Good player but not what we want or need. I'd rather Jose tried to get the best out of Bailly and Lindelof if he can't attract Alderweireld.

Apparently you would want a world record fee - so more than Virgil - that ain't gonna happen so you should get another season out of him. If he carries on improving this season though you'll probably lose him next Summer.

... took Mahrez a good 2 years to get his transfer ... fact is we don't need to sell ... 4 years to go on his current contract ... won't be selling until we want to ... refreshing thing about our owners is that they are very single minded ..<cheers>

Most sides in the Prem rarely need to sell but if a big enough carrot is dangled in front of them then it tests their resolve. Mahrez wasn’t sold beforehand because no one matched your valuation, right? City finally done so this window and he was gone. Happens to all clubs though, no one’s exempt from it.

If Utd do end up offering us our supposed valuation for Toby which is apparently £75m then he’ll be wearing their shirt by the end of the window.

I really hope that doesn't happen, we would do better to stick with Lindeloff and Bailly for a season to let them gel. Toby looks shot and has displayed a bad attitude plus he is not a long term fix.

Precisely why the leicester owners won't sell.

No ones ever going to over 65m for lurch

Jose seems to want a CB though and Toby (and Maguire) are better than what you currently have. Jose also never really seems to buy for the long haul, he generally buys for immediate impact and Toby would definitely do that. Lindelof and Bailly may come good in time but the fact Jones and Smalling have seemingly been the preferred partnership doesn’t really bode well for the other two in terms of immediate futures.

Ideal scenario for Spurs would be to involve a swap deal with Martial but I can’t see that happening, unless Jose becomes really desperate for a CB.

Mate in this market I wouldn’t rule anything out. Richarlison going for £50m tells you everything you need to know at how inflated prices are.

Think richarlisons going to be a star personally.

Guardian reckons 40, bbc reporting 35m + 15m in targets.

Richarlison far better than grealish

Oh it will happen in the next year or two. Liverpool broke the bar with VvD, a top class defender two years ago who has never looked anything like his best since his injury. Will he get back there, well he is still young enough but he will have to push himself.

Time will tell. Definitely has talent but still think Everton have overspent, just like they did with Gylfi.

What’s Grealish gotta do with it? Lol. We won’t be paying £50m for him either if he does come.
