I think he’s pony and a complete tart. Arsenal are lumbered with him on four times as much dough as anyone else would pay so will have no choice but to build around and indulge him again. No top side can afford luxuries with his level or work rate let alone a guy who no longer contributes much going forwards either.

I think it shows how much rival clubs thought of Ozil, no one wanted him when his contract was running down, no one made a pre-contract offer or even stated their interest in him. Arsenal royally mugged themselves off by giving him such a huge contract, they probably could have tied him down to a lesser deal financially because the reality is, he wouldn't have gone to a better side than them had he let his contract expire.

I just don't big up players from rivals. Acknowledging a good player is fair game, IE Henry was good, Lampard was good but you'll never catch me parading them up with photos to try and win debates, I'd rather just take the L if that was the only other option <laugh>.

That's some uber spin there. It's just facts that ozil has more to be arrogant than Alli and i demonstrated it with a pic.

I just thought it was funny that the banter at me all began because your fellow boys did exactly the same thing!.

I'd never hump ship mate, supported Chelsea for nearly 50 years. Unlike you lot when Kane goes.

I wouldn't wanna hump a ship either so I'm with you on that.

I've had to watch us under Christian Gross, Gerry Francis, AVB and Tim Sherwood, I think I'll survive the day Harry does decide to move on for a likely world record fee.

That's your opinion. Doesn't hide the fact that has loads of caps for Germany and is a WC winner. Not usually achieved by players who are pony tbf.

Of course it doesn’t. He’s won the German player of the year award 183 times too but has been the ultimate conman for years. Just strolls through games.

yeah, he's gone proper downhill under Arsene, probably due to attitude than ability. It didn't mean he wasn't class before that, he was running the show at Real before and his first few seasons was great at Arsenal.

Fell by the wayside since then but who hasn't under Arsene.

so what you're saying is because Sterling takes the racism, Ozil should to as it's "normal".

Not sure i agree with that sentiment, especially if the racism is from his own superiors whereas black players in general is from the opposition (that you expect to get stick from)

Sure he seems weak minded and i agree with that as he hides on the field and he should probably ignore it but he was particularly scathing of one german in particular so theres got to be something behind that imo.
No, that's not what I mean. Racist abuse isn't acceptable and it shouldn't be accepted or put up with.
He's trying to conflate that with being criticised for posing publicly with a dictator, though.
He didn't feel that he was supported by the German FA over it and I don't think that he should've been.

Ozil's statement says that he wants people to ignore the meeting and separate the office from the individual. Why should they?

You've known me long enough now to know I spin everything, Bob lol.

But you stick to your bragging of Arsenal player, Mesut Ozil <laugh>

I feel the same way mate, seen a lot worse times than these. I wouldn't want to hump a ship either, bloody painful I'd imagine. Bloody typos.

They should but not in this century. I totally understand the bad reaction its garnered and for some of the crowd to boo. However, i think he's saying behind closed doors and in particular one of the blokes in the DFB has made him the scapegoat (from the sounds of it) and gone too far with his criticism.

Unfortunately, as with most he said she said stuff, only ozil will and everyone close to the situation will know the truth

I think Wenger did that as a parting “gift” to handicap Dick Emery and to make sure he doesn’t win anything in his first couple of seasons.

How do you know the reasons for his retirement from international football? If I was being racially abused, I wouldn't play for them either. None of us know what's been going on. I'm glad he's not playing for Germany as I think he's a good player. He was **** at the WC but show me a German player who wasn't. Not many.

A convenient excuse. How many years has he played for Germany, and only now he brings up this supposed racism?
