I suppose. He had some decent physical traits though and could hold a ball up, he was just a cack finisher, which for a striker isn't very good I guess.
Thought Brown was the best player on the pitch at the Championship play off final which shows potential especially after that miss. Would have been good for us.That was one of those chances when its easier to score than miss..Thankfully he won't be coming to us.
Which doesn't say a lot for Hudders chances, long term, unless they invest in some quality. They might do a City in the first season, surprise a few early doors, but fall away in mid season and struggle towards the end...Hope they do stay up.Thought Brown was the best player on the pitch at the Championship play off final which shows potential especially after that miss. Still a great player..Maybe a Man Utd / Everton or even Spurs might come in for him..Inter Milan is interested in signing Andres Iniesta, who still hasn’t renewed with Barça. [La Gazetta]

Tianjin Guanjian signing Anthony Modeste for €35m, so they must pay €35m in tax. So the Köln striker is costing €70m before wages?
Wasn't he at Blackburn or Bolton or something? There's another Blackburn striker who was **** but is going for a load of money this summer too.Rob Daly @robtdaly

Sounds like a slightly better version of Proschwitz.

What's this about Chinese clubs having to pay huge amounts of tax to the Chinese government...Could be the killer for Chinese football. He's rather impressive by all accounts and that is one hell of a good deal for Koln. €35m for a striker who's 30 in April.
Shows that Chinese clubs are still nuts. Here's hoping for £15m for Abel.
