I suppose. He had some decent physical traits though and could hold a ball up, he was just a cack finisher, which for a striker isn't very good I guess.

Which doesn't say a lot for Hudders chances, long term, unless they invest in some quality. They might do a City in the first season, surprise a few early doors, but fall away in mid season and struggle towards the end...Hope they do stay up.

Wasn't he at Blackburn or Bolton or something? There's another Blackburn striker who was **** but is going for a load of money this summer too.

He was at Blackburn, where he didn't score a single goal.

Though he's been doing rather better in Germany, he scored 25 in 32 Bundesliga games last season.

They have to pay 100% tax on foreign signings I believe. Modeste has just cost them €70m
