Those rumours indicate a season long loan. That would take us to five loanees - Piazon may be injured at the moment, but worth mentioning the limit of five loanees in a match day squad!
Just seen the interview of Fonte on the web site. I like this guy. I hope he can do the business for us.
The Wednesday manager, Carlos Carvalhal, speaking on BBC Radio Sheffield had a few word to say about Fonte: "I know the player, of course. Braga is my city. He is the captain of the team. He is a very good player. He is a very good striker. It is a little strange to me because the chairman of Braga (Antonio Salvador) told me: ‘I can sell all the players but never Rui Fonte,’ and now they sell Rui Fonte."
In several sports papers to day Rafa Soares name has been mentioned again, saying he will be having a medical next week with the view to a season long loan, with options. A rangy young left back who possibly could help with our defensive problems.
Rafa Soares has signed on a season loan deal. Reported he has an ankle injury and hopes to be back after the International Break. Let's hope our infamous medical has done a job and we haven't been sold a pup. http://www.fulhamfc.com/news/2017/august/22/soares-signs This will probably heighten speculation on Ryan Sessegnon being sold.
Why? Soares is a loan. Sure there will have been a fee and yes, we must now be flirting close to FFP stuff but not so we need to panic and/or sell Sessegnon. There are other more likely candidates if the books have to be balanced - Aluko or Madl ?
This feels a bit more like an insurance policy for Sessegnon - if he leaves next season (or January) we have an option to buy a direct replacement, who we can also bring up to speed ourselves this year (Soares needs to get fit and get used to English football).
I work with a guy who saw him play a few times last year at Rio Ave. He says he's the real deal. He even scored twice last year, apparently, which is always handy for a defender. Think this is a good one and definitely an upgrade on some guy from Cardiff.
Stories around that we've resurrected our interest in Bristol City's CB Aden Flint. Source: http://www.bristolpost.co.uk/sport/.../fulham-considering-move-bristol-citys-372215 Don't know if this is related to rosc's post in the Out thread!
To days gossip says we have had a 12m bid for Wednesdays Forestieri turned down and will return with a higher bid. Not sure about this guy, sounds a bit like if i cant get my way the toys are thrown out of the pram, the last thing we need is someone with an attitude problem,we have had 2 over the last couple of seasons.
Well I guess it about this time in the transfer window when everything starts to become manic, clubs try to ward off last minute silly bids for their best players, players who want out of their clubs start to panic and start to turn to their 2nd & 3rd options. So far we have Ream wanted by Boro Aluko wanted by Reading Sessegnon wanted by Man Utd, Spurs & Liverpool etc £25m?? Bettinelli still thinking of leaving or a loan Odoi still wanting to leave Madl being Sold Fulham after Forestieri from Sheff Wed for £12m!!!?? Flint from Bristol City for £6m!!!?? With Rumors that Slav isn't happy with the quality of some of the signings.
Was sceptical when this was being tweeted yesterday but it has definitely gained legs since. And the latest 'blog' to appear says that Wednesday have rejected the bid, sticking out for more. Source: https://footballleagueworld.co.uk/s...k-back-huge-bid-from-fulham-for-star-striker/ Would suggest Khan & Co. are trying to meet the Gaffer's aspirations. Would suggest also that some sales are in the offing, since we're already on the fringe of FFP. Not sure where that would then leave Jokanovic; on top of the so-called rumour that he "not happy with the quality of some of the signings". 'Cos he's stuck with them till at least January.
Monday 28th Aug Latest Fulham transfer rumours. Jota Bjorn Engels Fernando Forestieri Ishak Belfodil Jordan Graham Aden Flint Obviously won't get all of them but You have to query where the money might be coming from if we are to be within FFP as most of the above will not be cheap.
I do so hope i am wrong with my theory but i feel that RS is already a done deal, thus our reason for apparently sticking in these large bids, time will tell
Just for the record: * Norwich have agreed a fee with Newcastle for Cookie's favourite, Grant Hanley * the big fraud Diego Rolan signed a 2 year contract extension with Bordeaux and immediately went on a season loan to Malaga.
The Express are saying we've agreed to sign Dwight Gayle for ~£15mil... Pricey move but he scored plenty of goals at this level last year(23). http://www.express.co.uk/sport/foot...-transfer-news-Fulham-agree-deal-Dwight-Gayle
