Reports that Cardiff City have accepted a bid from Fulham for left back Joe Bennett.

Certainly has the Championship experience required. Would take some pressure off young Sessegnon and give the Gaffer more flexibility, as well.

And if the player needs any incentive to move, being subbed for Jazz Richards on Saturday should do it.

My only memory of Joe Bennett is from our FA cup win over Cardiff last season and him being terrorised down their left side by Ryan Fredericks. To be fair to this day I still think that was Fredericks best games for us, I wouldn't like to judge Bennett on that one game but he did struggle that day.

If you got 5 million for Malone then 10 million would be a fair price. The only way Bennet is going is if Warnock is happy to let him go. I can't see it myself.

The move for Joe Bennett has come about since, despite the Clubs agreeing terms, Bordeaux LB Maxime Poundje doesn't fancy it. On social media he posted,

" choisi de refuser l'offre

Ironic as we only went in for him in the first place as a sweetner to his pal Diego Rolan. What a pair of bellends.

Meanwhile ....

The diminutive winger Sheyi Ojo having flirted with Derby and Middlesbrough (again) thinks he might come to Fulham after all. Anybody else see an Agent's hand up his back?

Another one back in the news is Rui Fonte. Portuguese papers say we have agreed a €9m deal after Benfica, who gave a 50% stake in him, agreed.

Ojo signs. Pleased with this although it's just a loan.

Handy, given he's predominantly left wing and given the tragedy of Piazon.

Naturally, the signing has raised social media to speculate that it means Aluko must be moving. You'll recall there was the Jaap Stam "tapping up" a couple of weeks ago and, the Gaffer being totally against letting him go, hints of the Club offering him a new deal. Since he's 28 it's possible any deal was limited in length, so .... ??

With our lack of goalscoring power and with no sign of a proven C/F on the horizon,
would it not be worth a punt in giving Adebayo, & Humphries some game time
both way over 6ft big and fast.

Isn't that a pretty accurate description of Kamara?
Is Kamara big? I haven't seen him in the flesh yet, but Wikipedia only has him at five foot nine-and-a-half inches.

You're correct Captain, but he is quite wide.

Then there is always Rui Fonte who is none of those things. :emoticon-0100-smile

The Joe Bennett deal appears to be off because he asked for silly wages and his Agent wanted a bung for pointing out to us that the lad had a buy out clause. Instead, according to reports in Portugal we've turned to Porto's left back Rafa Soares.
