No, but I can (and do) blame him for fragmenting our previously solid 'yellow army' into different factions, in-ers, out-ers, and in betweeners. The board have poured oil on troubled waters by their meek appointment of Hughton's successor, but the damage was done all through last season - and sadly, shows no sign of abating.
Just read some of the recent threads on here as an example, nothing to do with twitter.

Think we will have to see who we sign over the summer. If we get a few decent players in people will start to believe that we can make a swift return to the Prem and the "Yellow Army's" unity will be back in a flash.

Rumour has it (All over newsnow) that we are to bid for Rhodes. Dont know how much truth there is in it or what the price will be but id suggest we could lose RVW and Hooper in order to fund the move. Then Becchio will stay and Loza might be back up (perhaps Morris or another new, cheap striker?). Either way Rhodes would be good if we can get players to provide some bloody chances for him!

My Blackburn mate reckons he doesn't do much but score goals (not a bad thing to be blessed with, granted) so if he was to be brought in an attacking midfielder would become an even greater priority.

I'd be surprised if we were willing to let both Hooper and RVW go. Adams wouldn't have come out and spoken publicly about Hooper if there were currently plans to sell him.

If we play ins fashion that accepts that and creates chances from the midfield than he would be an asset. He clearly knows where the goal is and of we can hang on to Becchio and Hooper also that's 3 strikers who have each proved they can score 20 goals a season at that level. It could well be considered the best strike force in the league on paper at least and that's with out RVW or Lozza who provide different options again. Not saying we'll have all of them burst this level any 4 of that 5 would be pretty exciting.

Yep, I've heard the exact same thing from their fans, and it's pretty obvious when you watch their games how little he contributes in the build-up. He's not great at holding the ball up, or unlocking defenses - he just knows where the goal is. He might score every other game, but the rest of the time it's like they're only playing with 10 men. It'd be like having another Becchio.

all i know is that if we lose hooper for less than we got rhodes for, that would be abysmal business. hooper is the better player of the two.

not that i think we'll be signing rhodes but it is a concern about hooper, despite what adams says. i think he wants out.

a few rumours surfacing about mark wotte becoming our technical director and john park becoming head of recruitment. if we pull both those moves off (and appointing park would be audacious to say the least) then i will be delighted. that would be some serious infrastructure in place

I would say that Hooper will probably want a move - our denial is standard tactics. If he really wants a move should we look to keep him or maximise the cash value we can get for him ?

I agree, and I'm not sure why people were so assured that he would be staying based on what Neeyull said yesterday. He didn't say anything for definite, and more importantly we've not heard from Hooper himself yet so the quote from yesterday meant nothing to me.
