Weren't we linked with him last year, before he suffered a long-term injury?
Considering MP said he wanted our squad for next year sorted for 3 weeks time I think that may be a little ambitious considering our lack of signings to date. Whatever happened to the two players that he said were almost signed before the season even ended....

According to the PL, Lloyd Isgrove & Omar Rowe were both out of contract, but have been offered new deals.

I wanted to give Mauricio a hug when he said that. Wanted to tell him, 'You have no idea.'
He's cut the % of income paid as wages from over 100% in 2011/12 to about 59% last season. Obviously the income has gone up, but you don't manage that without being prudent. We pay one of the lowest figures to agents in the PL...remember Ramirez's agent gave up and waived his fee to get the move done. Let's hope he can get the balance right and we get players we want.
Later season finishes abroad, international fixtures, U21 tourney & good old fashioned holidays.
Still three weeks to go and a little more until pre-season and we have been strongly rumored to have signed someone last week.
That's what I mean about getting the balance right. We don't want to be like QPR and pay stupid money and wages and then end up with players who don't really care. On the other hand, it might be nice for the manager to have some new players for preseason.
Players get paid handsomely to play football for Southampton.
The clubs vision is clear and if a player does not buy into that for the sake of a few thousand £s extra then he is probably not the type of player we want.
Unfortunately. He's good on FIFA and FM, and plays for a good team, so I think we're allowed to forget that he's actually pretty crap.
I don't know too much about him, just that liverpool and milan are also rumoured to be interested.
