4 years isn't a lot for a Goalkeeper. Anyway, judging from what's been said by managers and players it seems like Bart is just way more confident this year. One game he was yelling at the opposition to try and beat him. Happy for him, I thought he always had great fundamentals skills, now he's getting the chance to show it.

Fonte is one of those players whom I would be gutted to see playing against us though, definitely one of what I see as the core of our team that achieved so much.

 

Yeah he's one of about 6 players who currently play for us that, regardless of ability, I'd hate to see play against us.

 

Bart goes up to about 75-80 on Fifa!

We must lose the sentiment. Joe is right, and I think to move forward we must sign one maybe two quality CB who are better than what we have. I love what Fonte and Jos have done for us, but if we are to move on then this is the moist important area we need to improve.

 

Tom, that is harsh. He hadn't played any league football for 33 years before that. I think he always had the potential and is still incredibly young for a keeper. He has 10-15 years ahead of him and could easily be a Prem keeper yet.

 

Well I'd guess he wasn't playing league football 8 years before he was born...

Same here. One of many players that I am glad to see have been successful after leaving us. If he does well then he could get a Championship jersey, and there's a lot of teams in the Championship that could have a lucky promotion.

 

The 33 years was deliberate exaggeration ..... as for the moist ... oops

 

Hell of a long time not playing football, no wonder he was nervous poor guy.

 

I liked Bart, especially in his younger days. He just had a couple of bad games and it didn't work out for him. I'm glad he's found his feet again, he still could easily have a good career.

 

I thought Bart was going to be a great keeper, but nerves got to him and that's the last thing you need in a keeper.

 

See him train ALOT when he was down here and he was an absolute world beater, put him in-front of a crowd and he woblier than a weeble!

 

And that's what Nigel mentioned on numerous occasions, as how brilliant he was in training and all that, but he could never bring it to the big stage

Funny how he was ahead of Szczesny in the Poland youth ranks for a couple of years...

 

He was seriously dodgy in one tournament, vaguely remember him trying to skin a striker and ****ing it right up.
