I don't think Honda is our type of player, he'd be too much of a marquee signing to begin with.

I would much prefer it if we signed up and coming, lesser known players like we did last season. Hiroshi Kiyotake from Nuremberg would be a much better shout in my opinion.

Great player, not sure why he never left Japan, could have played at a higher level IMO. Saw him play when I went to Tokyo a few years back. By the way, football matches there seem to be very, very weird.

They are indeed. I spent a month in Yokohama and i went to a game in the world cup stadium. If memory serves me it was Yokohama vs Tokyo with all the Yokohama fans wearing blue and Tokyo wearing red. I had the then light blue Saints away top on whilst my mate had a red England shirt on, not only did he stick out like a sore thumb in the home end he got a fair bit of stick!

To me it was more the arrangement. So, gambling is not allowed, so you don't win money, you win points. Then you can trade in your points for the stuffed bear, or, you can just go across the street and exchange them for cash. So Japanese.

If there has been a signing I really don't think it will be one we've previously or at least recently heard about. I just think if it was gamez or astori for example then Alan Nixon or tancredi palmeri would know something about it as they seem to have been all over the deals up to this point.

Can't see us announcing a signing of someone currently away on international duty. So that would rule out any U21s or Confed cup players.
Surely they would have to be present for a medical & contract stuff.

Yoshida signed whilst on international duty. Can carry out remote medicals, like Gaston in Italy. Paperwork can be faxed.
