Ajax's defence, PSV's attack, a handful of Belgians, we are sorted.
I wonder what will happen to these two and Fonte, I can imagine at least one moving on to accommodate someone new. As with all our backup/Championship squad players, hope they get a good transfer if they do leave.
Sigh- Lens has already signed, but was outside the transfer window so he had to be signed as "catering manager". He beavers away on matchday serving pies and crisps with speed and precision, training during the week in disguise and with a pseudonym. At close season it will be announced that he has made the transition from catering and hospitality to 1st XI CAM.
Actually regarding Gamez, it's only just occurred to me Nixon works for the Mirror, was probably his story in the first place. Still just a single source, put this one back in the 'tenuous' pile.

He's my favourite potential candidate for us to sign this Summer other than the necessary signings to shore up our defence. I've watched him a few times this season due to our supposed interest in him last Summer, and he's just a fantastic player, good 1st touch, extremely pacey, good crosses and finds the net himself.
With a Jesus on the pitch and a Jesus in the coaching staff I like to think we have covered enough bases to get some favours from the big guy!
Not comfortable with paying those sorts of wages, I'm much happier for us to keep plodding along with the average money we're paying at the moment.
I'm not sure I want to smash the wage structure either. But if we did, I'd love Remy at 80k. Not only do I think he has the quality to justify the wage, but he worked very hard for that QPR side, a lot harder than some players making less than him. Doubt we could get him, though.

Slightly down that article indicates Ramirez is on €2m per year after tax.
That's less than forty thousand per-week. He's not been worth it but it isn't unaffordable for a premier league team.
