Yes mate, of course thats true. We have an endless pot of money dont we? We NEEDED to make these signings - did you not see where we finished last season? Open your eyes! Jog on and stop being so jealous.
Nor are we tbh. Its far from ideal, but last season was a very close one for us and we dont want a repeat obviously. It will take time for everyone to gel for sure but we didnt really have much option. Hughes has said this will be the last time we are so active in the market.
Alleucas, your post was honest and fair. In fact, you made some very constructive points. The problem is, as soon as Liverpool fans open their mouth's, people tend to switch off. Its nothing personal against the Club or the City, its just when we hear LFC supporters waffling on as if they're still one of the huge Clubs even though they've never even won the Premier League, everything else they say is treated with suspicion. I mean, if a group of people can be that deluded, how then can any of their opinions be taken seriously? Its good to have you on this Board though mate, you seem like a nice chap. I like your point about fair weather fans. I've noticed since we started signing these new players, that we've got a lot more "newbies" on this Board. Maybe they're some of the ones you talk about. Please address my point mate, about Liverpool fans thinking above their station. I'd like to hear your take on it, from the horses mouth so to speak. (P.S. I've a mate from Newcastle and he constantly insists that Liverpool is not in the North, its the North-Midlands. What you reckon Alleucas?)
Its not about how much or how many players you sign, Its about whether the manager is good enough and has chosen the right players. A big name does not mean that he will be good for the team if he is not the right sort of player, the only loyal people are the fans and the managers and players are only loyal until they move on and then they become loyal to that club.......All footballers can play a bit but the main man is the manager as he is the one who makes the decision on how to train, how to play and which players are going to play. If the manager cant get that right then it does not matter who plays the team will struggle.....The manager is the most important person in any football team.....good luck for the season...
Exactly that mate. Players and Managers come and go, but the fans are always there. TF has done his bit, now its over to Hughes to see if he can make them into a competetive team.
