http://www.footballwebpages.co.uk/premierleague/league/predicted were not gonna win away anymore apparently. lets stuff the Arse on Stadee and prove these southern journos wrong! TOP 10!!!!!!!!!!! I have faith
If you look at Lawro's predictions so far he had us winless so far this season with just 2 draws .. seems the 'experts' aren't always right
I make it 23 points from the remaining games and at least 18 from the home games... so **** um.. they got theirs sums wrong
We'll pick up some points away, not a large amount, but some... It has always looked like the home games will determine our fate.
That there might be a reason to think we won't get many more? I think palace are the only bottom 7 side we still have to play away.
I did some analysis of Premier League relegation and survival over the last 10 seasons. Broadly: If you get 11 or more wins in the season, you will stay up If you get 9 or 10 wins, you have a 1 in 3-ish chance of going down (69% and 79% survival rate respectively) If you get 7 or 8 wins, you have a 1 in 3 chance of staying up (33% and 31% survival rate respectively) If you get 6 or fewer wins, you're ****ed.
And Leicester. Carry on playing the way we are and I'd fancy us against Stoke and Southampton as well.
Southampton have been in shocking form of late,EFL cup semi-final excepted.. Their only PL win this calendar year was against Leicester I think, which says it all.
Forgot all about Leicester for some reason. I do think we'll get a few away wins, but there's a reason the projections don't have us doing much away from home. Burnley have shown if you concentrate on home form you'll be fine. We have enough games at home against teams around us that if we win most or all of them we will also be ok.
I think one of Bournemouth or Burnley will go down. Laugh all you want, but go back to July and see who was the only one tipping Lester to get relegated.
Burnley have most of the bottom six to play away from home and a few of the top six to play AT home. Not inconceivable to think they may struggle for points if their poor form on the road continues, although they are still in all likelihood nailed on for the win when they play us at the end of the month. Personally I think they'll stay up,and deserve to.
I'm basing it purely on 5 of their next 6 being away (I think it was before last weekend) and they have 1 point so far. If this form continues they'll start getting jittery. Don't want them to go down, mind. Would much rather Boro after pre season every bloody pundit or opinion I read said they'd be fine after a series of high profile yet rather odd signings.
