I think you might have more (you forgot Nile Ranger too), maybe chelsea though. We have

Sagna, Gibbs, Santos, Djourou, Song, Frimpong, Coquelin, Walcott, Gervinho

Anyone mentioned Man City?

Lescott, Richards, Balotelli, Kompany, Y Toure, K Toure, De Jong, Clichy, Onouha etc... They also have a few on loan, Adebayor and Boyata etc...

I've just seen that the liverpool board are doing a "let's support Suarez" kind of thread. Are they that desparate? Probably realise that without Suarez, they're stuck with Carroll.

I don't think Saurez is a racist, even Evra said in his statement that he doesn't think Saurez is a racist. However...when you are in a heated duel with someone, you do not bring colour into it no matter how innocent/meaningless the word is. The word negrito/negro in Spanish is deemed as harmless calling someone black in this country. Say if a black guy pushes in front of you in a que at the post office, you would be pissed off no matter who it was. You say "Oi get lost dickhead" then this is a reasonable response...you say "Oi get lost you black dickhead" then you are opening up a whole new can of worms.

Bottom line is, Saurez chose the wrong words to bite back at Evra even if the words are deemed harmless on their own. I think his reputation from before has gone against him...mix that with the FA who are trying to make a statement then you get a hefty ban. Now Saurez will have to live with being labelled as a racist.

Dalglish released a statement on Twitter stating: “Very disappointed with today’s verdict. This is the time when Luis Suarez needs our support. Let’s not let him walk alone.”

Pass the sick bag.

Are you guys serious? You're counting which team has more black dudes?

Now, I find 8 games way excessive for something that has been said. People end other players careers and get a 3 or 4 match ban for leg breaking etc. While a part of me feels Suarez had it coming to him with his gross unsporting behaviour he's shown 8 games is a quarter of a season and that's just too much.

What I'm really wondering about now is John Terry. We have John Terry on tv, actually making racist remarks to Anton Ferdinand. Ferdinand, although there was no argument between them from the start said he didn't ask John terry what terry then supposedly asked back to him. So while the evra-suarez situation might be word against word there's actual evidence in the terry case.

Which one of us would wager John Terry getting an 8 match ban? No way right?

I'd be stunned if the FA took any kind of action against Terry, other than stripping him of the England captaincy.

The complaint against Terry has been taken down a diffrent route because Anton Ferdinand didn't want to take it further. But a QPR fan felt the need to report it to the police which is why it is going to Crown Court.

Where as Evra complained after the match to the ref who included it in his match report which is why the FA have acted on this one.

No matter how harmless the words Suarez used are in his home country, over here they are still deemed offensive especially when you consider he was saying them to a French man who would have taken them diffrent to someone from Sout America.

As for Suarez's reputation, he is a talented footballer BUT:

1) He bit another player at Ajax

2) His blatant hand ball and celebration in the world cup when the pen was missed

3) Giving the Fulham fans the finger

4) His blatant diving and general unsporting behaviour

And then there are the racist claims as well now, he is getting himself the same reputation a Diouf as a widley disliked player. Did he not get a clue when he was wearing the "Kick it out" or "Show Racism the Red Card" T-shirts.

All this bollocks of "It's a hard time for me and my family" he needs to take a look at himself in the mirror. Cause long before the racism claim I thought he was a horrible person and hope if he appeals they add even more games to his suspension.

Can be an amazing footballer, but scummy person.

Kicking Racism out of football! . . . . . . . well for a few weeks anyway.

I don't think 8 matches & £40K fine goes anywhere near enough. What's £40K? Probably half a week's wages. If the FA wanted to stop players being racially abused by other players they should have banned Suarez for the rest of the season, that would have made players think twice about it. Just wondering if they only issued a limited ban so they can do the same for the "beloved" England captain if he's found guilty of the same offence.
What's the point in the FA backing "Kick racism" campaign if they don't back it up? they haven't kicked racism out of football, they slapped it on the wrist and told it not to be such a naughty boy again. <doh>
