The problem with this is if Suarez really believes there has been broken promises already. Why would he believe the club if this is the case?

He has no choice, but it could be specifically written in this time, excluding other Prem teams with a sell-on premium in case some smart-arsed foreign team wanted to be a six-month holding station before selling him on to a Prem team. It could be done. We should ask that he ****s Guardiola off though.

Let's see. If Suarez acts like a mardy-bum then he'll only make matters worse for himself and fail to get the best exit deal. If he takes the pragmatic approach then it could well turn out very nicely for him.

Although I understand the sentiment, I'm not sure about the sell-on part. Wouldn't that be part of a deal with another club rather than with Suarez himself...? Although, modern contracts prevent you working for similar companies within a radius over a set time period, not sure that could be applied to a footballer though

G, it doesn't really matter how it is done as it will be behind closed doors. What really matters is that he knows that he lost and now has to help put it right.

Specifying details in the contract, not complete re-negotiation. Sell-on clauses are totally allowable, otherwise we could have asked Madrid to buy Heinze for us for six months when United wouldn't sell. Liverpool's strength now is tht they don't have to sell, but their weakness is that their asset will decrease in value. Suarez's weakness is that Liverpool don't have to sell, his strength is that he can decrease Liverpool's top asset in response to not being sold - the latter carries incredible risks to himself though in terms of the WC (if Uruguay qualify) and his desirability to those continental CL teams he REALLY wants to go to.

In the first part of this new season, Suarez's sale value will increase - even if he does not kick a ball for Liverpool. Suarez will be the one world-class player available who is not CL cup-tied. He will therefore be as rare as hen's teeth!
I think you're right. Why doesn't anyone want him this time round though because atm he's a world class striker not cup-tied?
I still think he will be at Liverpool at the end of August. Liverpool don't want to be in the position they were in before when Torres left where he was sold on the last day before the closure of the transfer window, resulting in them forced into making a panic buy for a striker, which was an expensive result for them signing Andy Carroll for £35 million.

In summing up, I felt he would be best to swallow his pride and stay where he is for the foreseeable future and that doing so could end up being more lucrative in the long run but helping Liverpool in the meantime. If you truly believe that after sitting on his arse for 5 months whilst in public dispute with his club, that his value will increase, then you're deluding yourself - big time.
At the moment no player is yet cup-tied. When clubs get desperate to retain their CL position then they will be more inclined to pay a premium.
I understand that no player is yet cup tied - was just pointing out that Suarez will never be cup-tied this season so his advantage in that regard doesn't increase as the season progresses.
So that's your opinion and its flawed. If you read back you'll find that I did not say that he's be sat on his arse. But even so there are clubs out there who will find him more and more attractive in the first part of the season.
