If it had been Roy Keane, captain of, say, Derby and not ManUre, he would have been hung out to dry. To my mind it is one of the most shameful and atrocious things I have seen on a football field. Of course, the consequences of this were disastrous for the victim and in a way, much more serious than Suarez' racism, but the arguments are seperate and Suarez has been punished for something we will not tolerate here. Saying that I daresay the same tackle today,whoever it was from, would attract a punishmnent at least as harsh and more than likely legal action.

He was one of the main men in our top 4 season

I think we should scrap this defender chasing and go for hoilett! I would probably take yakubu as well - he knows where the net is at the moment!

We've already been linked with Hoilett.
He's out of contract at the end of the season, though his age would mean that a fee would still be required.
January replacement for Dos Santos? <ok>
 
My problem with Hoilett for us at this moment in time is his height, another short arse, good player but we need to sign some bigger lads for the games we're going to get...like Stoke!
 
They don't recognise the FA, Ensil.
They need a nice honest court, like the one that found Gerrard not guilty.
 
I don't want to stereotype the Mickey Mousers, but they are all tinkers, hubcap thieves, and benefit fraudsters.

They are going by the club statement saying there are no grounds for this decision which I find hard to believe. I await the evidence...
 
Having spent hours reading the scousers going completely ballistic,all i can say is thank f*** we didn't buy the little s****.
As for the Blackburn game it really was getting nasty for Kean out there,had to feel sorry for him even if he is useless.

What gets me is,do they really think the FA would throw the book at someone if they didn't think they had a cast iron case?The FA know that they could get in enormous trouble if they just found him guilty to make an example out of him.
 
There's no way Blackburn's cost-cutting Indian chicken farmers are going to sack Kean, because if they do they'll have to actually spend some real money getting in someone else, and the new guy will only come in if he's given a budget to spend in the January window. If Kean goes, the cheapskate owners will have no one else on whom to deflect all the blame. Kean's taking all of the flak for them, which is why they are staying loyal to him.
 
Going back to Luke's earlier comment about Suarez calling someone a Negro,what's wrong with that?If your a Negro,your a Negro.If your a Caucasian,your a Caucasian.
I'm white.If someone calls me a Negro,who cares?I don't.They can have my old glasses......
 
Big smithy I saw the posting on the 'Pool site and they basically said that it was accepted descriptions in South America.
However if you put a f-----g in front of it the meaning is completely different isn't it?

Completely agree. I'm not condoning what Suarez did; however, Keane got away with a lighter sentence for, by his own admission, deliberately crippling another player. I think I'm right in saying that he succeeded, too. Harland was finished. There's definitely something wrong somewhere!

Not sure he would have been as much of a problem here. We have a high percentage of black players and I am sure his racist "leanings" would have been corrected (in private) after the first fruity tackle in training. Also we haven't got an apologist weasel as a manager who backs his players no matter what, but whose actions in the final analysis invite them to do exactly as they please.

The shameful statement from the club itself echoes "King" Kenny's attitude and surely blows any chance of a reduction of the penalty on appeal out of the water.
