Am I the only one who believes that this is highly comical. I mean a bite must be pre meditated as it is not really a natural thing to do. The fact that the thought of biting somebody is running through his head at any point in time actually tickles me. Its hardly the crime of the century and is hardly going to cause any lasting damage. I remember Ben Thatcher nearly killing someone a few years back and he only got a six game ban so to ban suarez for 10 plus games seems extreme. I mean for ****s sake he has bitten someone he hasnt broken someones legs or knocked them out cold I personally just find it amusing.
Smug, in 2 to 3 months time, what happened in the World Cup would be ancient history, and I'm not speaking for you, but, if in the next 2 months we got a new billionaire owner, 99 fans out of a 100 would be ****ing themselves off if we bought Suarez.
That's the sad aspect of being a club fan with the benefit of owning the higher moral ground.
I worry that people struggle to see any innate difference between biting someone and say kicking or punching someone.

Of course its comical, and it's not life threatening, but what's that got to do with playing by the rules?
I'm not sure what you're saying. Is it okay to bite someone in a game of football if you can get away with it?
People still talk about his last chomp, it was mentioned often before the World Cup.
Maradona, one of the world's greatest, is still regarded as a horrible cheat after all this time.
I just can't agree with you and wouldn't want a blatant cheat at Sunderland.
Im not saying that its ok to bite someone in a game of football im just saying its funny as **** that it has happened and for a thirdvtime. Yes the guy should be punished but im not one for jumping on a bandwagon and starting a witch hunt. If I had the choice of being bitten or being the victim of a two footed knee height tackle I know which one I would take all day long. Football would be boring without players like Suarez end of. Most of the worlds best players have had problems and been tossers its called being a maverick.

Neither would I. All I'm saying is, if we did buy him, there'd be 40,000 screaming fans chanting his name against Man U first home game of the season, if the unbelievable did happen.
Fans are like women, fickle.
The game of football involves the use of the head, the boot, the shoulder etc .......... never the mouth.
Tough players, like Ball or Cattermole, can dish it out and accept it but wouldn't accept being bitten.
Fights between two blokes can involve all sorts but I've never seen anyone bite another.
My kids were allowed to battle all day long but I drew the line at biting.
If you can't see the problem with biting then no explanation is worthwhile tbh.
I wouldn't and I know others who wouldn't want the likes of Suarez at Sunderland.
My principles are greater than the wish to succeed at all costs.

Can anyone explain to me why you have to change your shirt if it has blood on it or if you have a cut which is bleeding you have to leave the field of play - after all its not as if its a two footed tackle and what's a little bit of blood between footballers and why do those soft medical staff wear latex gloves when they are treating the players. Gosh footballs gone soft![]()
Not everyone's as hard as this bloke.....
