Not got a tape measure and a long lens camera? When I find a ruler that big I will.
Maybe you should ask Starmer not me if he is backing the strikes, if not him what about the rest of his front benchers. Anyway, why are you so concerned by what I say. I look forward to a winter of discontent, it won't be long before the public turn on them.![]()
Just like they did in 1979

People keep relying on polls telling them how big a percentage margin lead Labour now have - but there is several problems with that, and quite clearly they've learned no lessons from brexit, and no lessons over the last 12 years, to never take something for granted, just because a poll says so.
Labour still have a couple of years to fook this all up, the strikes are still increasing as I predicted they would, the militants are now running the show, as I still hear thee echoes of it's not the train drivers striking, righto.
The only hope Labour have in the next two years is if those with better memories of why people stopped voting Labour (1979, Blair, blah, blah, blah) all die off. So quite frankly they are wagering on the likes of me popping my clogs and the likes of @Sucky getting out of bed.
But let's be fair to Labour just for one minute....
They will end all the strikes, well of course they will, because that's what the mass walkouts are all about, the militants mouth piece has got all the sheep excited, and what will they gain, will Labour concede to all the wage demands? Let's pretend they will, well that's the economy fooked then, but at least they have a get out clause, 12 years of Tories. Win, win.
Anyway, let's not forget, train drivers are not striking, no sireeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.
Morning by the way.![]()
The reality is that currently Labour don’t have to do anything, they can sit back and watch it all unfold on the Tories watch.
The unions are claiming they aren’t getting the support the think they should from the Labour Party and I don’t see too many politicians from either side condemning the strike action or blaming the Labour Party.
I also think it’s wishful thinking that the winter of discontent, an event over 40 years ago, will make the slightest bit of difference to today’s population. The world is changing, whether we like it or not, and the younger generation of voters will ultimately decide who governs next. I’m not sure they care too much what happened 43 years ago!
We'll see, as I said previously once you let the scum militants loose anything can happen. Much like their MP's....
