Thatcher is the most wretchedly destructive woman in my lifetime. For me, I'd happily line up Blair, Bojo the clown, Thatcher, and most of the current mob in charge, in front of a firing squad. Maybe guillotine? Hang draw and quarter? Human centipede? I'm open to suggestions.
I opposed everything Thatcher did and everything she stood for, but I’ll concede one thing; she had a vision and she believed in what she was doing. The same can be said for Blair, up to a point. They had one other thing in common; they both stayed in power too long, eventually believing they could do no wrong, and didn’t need to listen public opinion. The Poll Tax and the Iraq war were the results.
Where as with the exception of Corbyn all the recent ones sole aim has seemed to be power for powers sake .
I don’t know what to make of Starmer tbh. But Labour can’t improve the lives of working people without getting in power. No point sticking to your principles while being in opposition under Corbyn
I agree with this . I hated Thatcher and what she did and stood for . HOWEVER she did have firm beliefs and a vision , this current lot just lie , change their minds with the wind and are ruining our country .
i understand the need to ensure voters aren't scared off by our ridiculous press but jeez just take a consistent line and actually expound a general ethos you intend to bring to governing the country .
If she was still alive , I’d have her stripped naked and lowered very slowly ( over a day or so ) into an acid bath , I would surround her with mirrors so every time she opened her eyes , she would see her reflection of slowly melting away in exquisite agony .
