I still wonder if he can cut it in the championship. It seems odd that it is taking so long for someone to snap him up. Maybe it is an attitude problem that has put people off.

Le Fondre seems to have confirmed on Twitter that he is signing with Reading tomorrow. So that's the end to two long running bits of speculation.

It also appears Shefki Kuqi might have retired ;-)

I know people arent going to like it but Exeter have just signed Rowan Vine on loan. This is the sort of striker who could do a job for us and surprised we haven't snapped him up.

The rumour mill is now linking us with Nile Ranger and Heider Helguson for a third stay. The Ranger deal is also wrapped up in the sale of Loach to Newcastle with Hannehmann coming in on a free to replace him. No credible sources here, but both players are well down the pecking order at their current clubs.

Cody Macdonald seems to be going to Peterborough

Nile Ranger might be a good signing, but has he had some attitude problems..?

Looks like Ranger might be going to Blackpool, after previously turning them down!!

Good! He sounds like trouble. We're not desperate for a striker, if the market's not right then there's no point in rushing things...

Here here!! He was a good sub last year and scored a couple too, why not have him on the bench rather than 4 defensive players and 1 attacker as we did on sunday.

Totally agree, the unwillingness to put our promising youngsters in the matchday squad and the lack of game changing options on the bench is one of the things I find particularly odd.
