Well I didn't find that tweet on Fourth_Official's Twitter account, but to be honest I don't have a clue about Twitter so you might be right.
Well that tweet doesn't come up on my computer it says the last tweet from him was 16 hrs ago, it's probably something to do with my computer being messed up.
From what I've seen, Jay Rod (is he pacey?) looks a very useful finisher, but perhaps the pace of Maynard would further compliment some of our fine football! However, I'm interested to see how Barnard gets on in this Division. He scored with some fine finishes last year and works so hard, although judging by the Sharp bid admittance by Adkins......a striker we seek.

Last season we were all worried when we lost Chamberlain and Barnard at about the same time, but then Connelly stepped up to the plate and the rest is history. In a long season, we're going to need a big squad if we're serious about promotion.
It would be amazing if we signed both of them although sadly that would probably be the end of Barnard.
Unless one of them also happens to be a quality championship CB, I would prefer just to get one of them in!
Agreed. Though I like the fact that Martin is getting a run, and he looks like he has potential, another quality CB could be essential when the going gets tough later in the season. Hopefully at the top end!
I went for other. If we are looking to spend 9 mil then I would try and spend just over half that on a very good partner for the Fonte of knowledge and the rest on someone we dont know that Cortese can use his links and get from Italy. We could get someone of the same, if not better ability than those mentioned but for a little less money.

Other aswell , it's great having a proven goalscorer but my problem would be having the team unsettled with someone coming in thinking they are the top-dog . Lambert has changed the way he plays from the 1st season he join us he was more of the golden boy to score goals but the 2nd season he has been so much better of a team player and that shows having 7 different scorers and now he can hold the ball up , change the play, slip the ball through to oncoming wingers , may sound abit stupid but id rather move AL up the park into attack and use him and lambert to score , they link up better than most and we do have enough in midfield to hold our own ..
Nicky Maynard. Fast, strong, proven goalscorer, and this would piss off all the City fans I know, (which is almost all my friends!).
