A drunk girl who had slept with two other footballers in the past and 'not remembered' where these footballers accounts of the sex that their nights was so similar Ced's that a jury made up of mostly women acquitted him. And to think this innocent man is being compared to a convicted child rapist by Sunderland fans all over the internet disgusts and saddens me. They think Ched Evans is the bad guy while stooping so low with those sorts of comment. Society is ****ed mate. People can say what they want with no consequences. Everybody is judge jury exercutioner, while they delude them selves that them and their little mob hand mentality walk on water. Sent from my Moto G (5) using Tapatalk
Beckham is a serial cheat and he's been treated like a god the whole time. Ronaldo cheated on his pregnant girlfriend. James Brown, George Harrison, Bowie slept with a 15 year old. How about we judge on his attitude and commitment on the pitch and keep our judgement on people's personal lives to ourselves and put the lectures on morality to one side cause you never know, you might just be let down one day by your hero's. His situation is certainly is NOT the same as what Adam Johnson did. However, if the rumours about what actually happened that are described earlier in this thread are true then he didn't act in a very pleasant way. Society is equally ****ed if that way of behaving is considered acceptable. (If any of that is true of course, which we cannot know).
But that doesn't even consider the point of the trial. Was it consensual sex? Her sexual history was so similar they allowed it to be used in court which it's usually not allowed. The information contained accounts sexual style and habit as outlined by other men who she had also not 'been able to remember having sex with' Sent from my Moto G (5) using Tapatalk
He'd be decent enough to sit third choice behind Wyke, so if he's the striker to add depth while the other is the major one I'd be happy with that. But glad somebody is on out what matters, the footy. Sent from my Moto G (5) using Tapatalk
As has been discussed, basing which footballers you like on their moral rectitude is possibly not the best idea. However, the pertinent point is, and as you have referred to yourself, there is negative PR surrounding this rumour. Which is relevant to the football.
I'm not saying he a good man though, He ****ed a drunk lass while having a girlfriend, stop the press.not like 1000s and 1000s of rock stars, actors, sportsmen, politicians, ****ing customer service advisersers, mechanics mothers and fathers haven't done the same. My point is he's doing what many have done the world over. Gaurenteed somebody you know and hold in the highest regard has done the same. You just may not know it. It's their private business, their morral code. We have our own and our own responsibility to it. Personally mine goes beyond striving to not be a cheat. It goes as far not being judgemental on people's private affairs. I'm not perfect though, I'm a degenerate animal who can't say no to drink and drugs and no doubt one day it will be my undoing but it's my business, not for anybody to judge. Should I be denied the opportunity to earn a living because a bunch of ****ing nobodies don't approve? Basically what I'm saying all those people who wouldn't want him to sign, not that he is like, because of his immoral path, tough ****e, it's nowt to do with them or their jumped socially judgemental high horse. And as long as it stays that way society has a chance. Because giving every Tom dick and Harry a platform to vent their own brand of right and wrongs has damaged society massively imo. Applies to me as well. I make a hypocrite of myself on such platforms too. Sorry mate, it's not personal against you, it's generalised venting, just all the judgement on social media over this has annoyed me. Bunch of people spouting bile over ****e that should be kept between a man and his wife and once over would. But now this horrible world presides over things that should be private. I've done it. Text my girlfriend wishing her goodnight and telling her I'm tucked up in bed. In reality I'm in a club in Newcastle having a drink with some lasses. I wouldn't do it now, I've grown up and grew out of behaving like that. It doesn't make me a bad person, that's life for a lot of lads in their 20's. It happens.
You're right, social media and other platforms have arguably been bad for society. People think they can do what they like on those platforms without regard for how it affects other people. Yes, lots and lots have people have cheated. Including people that I know. It is people's own private business and, of course, everyone has their own moral compass. The thing is, when people do that there are other people that can be hurt. People think they can do what they like without regard for how it affects other people. Of course, Ched Evans' moral code, or anyone else's, shouldn't prevent him getting a job. But if more people thought about how their actions affected other people, whether that be on social media, with regard to their personal relationships, or in any other aspect of life, wouldn't the world be a better place? Admittedly, none of that has any bearing on whether or not we should sign him or how good he is as a footballer. He just wouldn't be my favourite. In the same way that I'd be happy for us to sign Ronaldo, but he wouldn't be my favourite.
Me too, got caught out, made a bad situation worse. Learnt very quickly. Sent from my Moto G (5) using Tapatalk
It could be anyone of course but if it's true that we've had a bid accepted I've heard that Doncaster and Wigan have turned us down but not heard a peep from Gillingham about Eaves so it could be him that we're going after. If it's true that we were after him and Marquis.
Apparently everyone is financially healthy and don't want our money but maybe in Gillingham we've found a club that would like a mil and a half or whatever.
It's a bit old but this article suggest you're right. https://www.kentonline.co.uk/medway/sport/investment-remains-key-185769/
The Sunderland Echo are reporting us to be linked with Mo Eisa, from Bristol City. He's been prolific everywhere he's been but they've never give him a chance.
