Nice one Sarge! I'm still sending out CVs. Had to go down to the Dole office today to sign on for credits. Awful place, so hopefully I'll never have to go there again!!
Jowler - So Potts definitely sees it, you should send him a private message, just to be sure he sees it. I did when I sent him a message saying a sticky should be put on the 2nd Moderator thread
It's back now, woo-hoo How is everybody? Anyone know how Super Jonny Walters v For Brazil he should play Danny Collins is getting on? Or Republic of Ireland v Wales officially
Very happy bunny now - it was proper weird not logging on
Yeah, wish he could of bagged one or two. Don't know if Wilson came on as a sub, hope he did, would of been his first international appearance. Whelan played well though,
Good to hear. Glad he's still at the club. I still feel he has a lot to offer the club, he is our best passer after all. My father made a good point a short time ago, reference Whelan. He said that he is a very good sub for when we're winning as he is very good at keeping the ball and playing the simple pass which is what is needed in those situations. I'd never recognised that, but my father has always been better at noticing things like that than I have.
Wilson came on, and was very solid, didn't really give the ball away. Same with Whelan. Ireland played really, really well, and I'm absolutely delighted! Pretty happy Wilson got his cap as well. He was still eligible for Nordie-land, so there was always the worry he'd go off to them. Now we just need to get James McCarthy before he switches back to Scotland, and we'll be laughing!
Nothing spectacular, but Ireland's ball retention today was superb compared to how we have played, and Walters was as much a part of that as anyone. He must have been very confused at all those passes coming along the ground at him though. It always makes me laugh when Ireland fans say we play negative hoofball tactics. They're mostly glory-hunting Big 4, Real Madrid, Barca, or Inter fans though, so what do they know really?!
With the Moderator jobs taken (almost) and the welcoming committee in place (SGT & Jubbsy) I was just wondering if there were any other positions available.
Could I apply for the resident 'punctuation and spelling police' job, I can do that, gis a job.
