Enjoy the day out, Ben? Other than the game, obviously.
So all thoose boycotting home matches are now boycotting aways to by the look of it !
I always do. Stoke’s any easy one too, just a half hour down the road. My lad drove so I managed a couple of beers. Saw a couple of old faces & managed to catch up with them. Sang till I was hoarse & had my usual laugh.
The players we have are obviously not up to the required standard of this league overall but they were well supported & I think had a go. Stoke have problems too, they were only two lucky goals better than us.
We’ll more than likely go down but there will be no blame attached to the players from me. The blame lies 100% at the owners door. If you continue to invest as they do the results will soon follow suit. I feel for the young lads as regards any potential affect it could have on their long term careers. We’re desperate for a couple of wisened old heads to protect the youngsters & help them progress.
My lad made me laugh on the way home, he’s usually quiet but has his moments. We stopped on the busy A34 Dual Carraigeway just before the Roundabout with the A500. An old biffa had broke down & was blocking a lane. I hopped out & after showing her how to put her automatic into neutral I pushed her to safety. She’d ran out of petrol but didn't know. She was 94, clueless & had no phone. I diced with death crossing the carriageway to the petrol station, bought a container & a fivers worth. As I was putting it into her car a bloke stuck his head out of the window of a passing car as it slowed for the roundabout & said to my lad that his car was sticking out & he should move it. Out of nowhere - “**** off, prick” - my lad’s response. The old biffa must have heard him as she asked “Was that man getting grumpy with you dear?” My lad blushed, I laughed, she asked me to stop the traffic so she could reverse onto the Dual Carraigeway & away she went. We followed her as she drove past three petrol stations without a care in the world. Hope she got home ok.
I chastised my lad for his potty mouth. I don’t know where he gets it from.
City away? It’s much more than 90 mins of football.

We need 6 big lads in our team. We need experience. What did he say in his post match, worth mentioning or just a copy and paste job from last Saturday?

I wonder who we’d make Barcelona look like at the momentWhat did you expect? Typical City...A team low on confidence and we make them look like Barcelona.
1252 at Rotherham on a Tuesday night. 223 at stoke on a Saturday.
The schizophrenic nature of hull city fans
Bank holiday weekend in a thriving city with lots to do. Game that's all but guaranteed a loss after a fair trek.
Vs a very winnable game just down the road on a Tuesday night when there's not much on.
Personally, I’m not boycotting, I’m just pissed off with the whole fiasco and can’t be arsed. Having cancelled my passes, I haven’t really enjoyed the home games and I’m having difficulty working up the enthusiasm to do aways now as well (this as someone who’s missed no more than five or six games a season for years).
In fact, today was the first time there was a fairly close game, which junior went to without me, while I had nothing on (and he only went because he happened to be in Stoke with work).
