It really is a depressing place though, and I'm not knocking it because of the football banter. The people always seem to be walking around as miserable as sin. Had to go there quite a bit to visit somebody in hospital and although the nurses were always bright and friendly everybody else seemed like zombies just whiling their hours away.

I work with a fervent Sunderland supporter. Lives and dies for the club, won't set foot in the town unless he has to for business. It is grim

We have been back to our usual selfs recently.

I just wish that players like Perch, Obertan, Tiote and Williamson would stop putting down more advanced players like Ba, Coloccini and Cabaye.

Also why hasn't Best been playing at the minute?

Pardew is really starting to wind me up

He's not the most informed poster on not606. Not the most informed anything really!

Sorry Brucie my mistake.

Missed me much? Been a while since I was last on here. Where is everyone?

Also back to the discussion why can't we just play Cisse and Ba upfront rather than having to put up with the likes of Obertan offering 0% in anything really

Ask nomoregeordies, he seems to know everything that's going on.

Not on a wind up mission at all watched you play Norwich yesterday and it's obvious that Pardew thinks Ben Arfa is a weak link as well hence why he was replaced as Norwich launched attack after attack done his flank. Exactly like Arsenal did. I just think a lot of Newcastle supporters just follow the ball in games and are oblivious to the midfielders role of tracking back et cetera. However, like you all say you are have so much knowledge therefore I must be wrong and your manager must be wrong as well.

Erm, I think you'll notice that HBA was having an off day in his attacking play, not that Simpson was particularly exposed. We were having difficulty holding the ball up generally. Ameobi was brought on for Cisse as well as Santon for HBA. Both decisions were correct in the circumstances. Neither is an indication that the substituted players are not excellent

Did nomoregeordies actually watch the game vs Arsenal?

From a totally unbiased point of view, apart from in the last 5 seconds of the game where Arsenal nicked it, I don't remember "The Ox" or any other Arsenal player troubling Newcastle's right side (Where Ben Arfa was playing) during the entire match. In fact, he stood and watched as Ben Arfa scored the opener.

Arsenal only created problems on the right where Walcott was up against that young Italian kid.

Pardew isn't highly regarded for his tactical nous but he got that one spot on yesterday taking Ben Arfa off, not because he had played bad, just his legs were totally gone.

Ben Arfa might be rubbish at tracking back, you get them in every team, we have Nani who is exactly like that, but these players can switch a game in a heartbeat, invaluable players.
