Cheers for the responses guys <ok>

Powell has a good record of getting the best out of players who have struggled elsewhere (Kermorgant being the prime example) so I'll hope he can do the same with Stewart.

All the best for the rest of the season.

That's when Stewart played his best games for us I think, up front with Simmo.

Very true. Charlton would do alot worse than go after Jay Simpson. Help get them both going again.

If Powell can work his magic then you have a real talent. At the moment i would not have him selling programmes.

You may need jump leads and / or a cattle prod for him. <whistle>

This ^^^^^ it's a real shame that things have turned out how they have, despite all the criticism of him he was a real talent when we first bought him (for more than an hour OLM) so much so that Leicester offered £1.5 million for him which we turned down out of hand (though we soon wished we'd bit the hand off). As other posters have pointed out his attitude has been pretty crap since he came back from injury, think his football career is going to be short lived unless someone like Powell can work miracles.

We were offered £1.5M by a club who were throwing their money around, managed by our ex-manager, who had already over-estimated his (Stewart's) ability, who had been poached by his old club (who he left acrimoniously); the offer was spurned by our huffy owner because he did not like being bested (ring any bells <whistle> ), when he should have taken their bloody hand off.

If we had sold Stewart to Leicester at that time the lynch mob would have been out at the KC Stadium, as it was the keeping of Stewart was an extremely popular decision by the club.

If he's fully fit and the manager can get him fired up then he is a good player unless the injury has caused him issues we don't know about.
