Look I get the point you're making. However at this moment in time our squad is very light, and Cameron Stewart is one of our better players even if he isn't showing it atm. Letting a winger go when we are already short of options in that position is in my humble opinion, stupid.
What if he rip's it up at Turf Moore? Brilliant I hear you say. We will recall him in January in red hot form. But Would you want to go back to a manager who showed no faith in you after a couple of matches?
So what you say we can get a big fee for him!! If the player doesnt want to come back because he's been ****ed about by the manager then Burnley Ultimately hold all the cards.
I know thats a lot of ifs and buts. I'm just saying I think brucey could live to regret this. I hope im wrong obviously

I'm saying there's 8 hours until you can say we've left ourselves short. We don't know what deals we're tying up for ourselves.

The kid's made 30+ appearances for us and you can count the number of good performances on one hand.

It's win-win letting him go on loan, he either sorts himself out and we get a better player back in January or he proves himself as a flash in the pan and we can sell.

As for sending him to Burnley, you can look at it in two ways;

Either it strengthens them, hence they take more points from our rivals

or

He weakens them with his lacklustre displays and stops them becoming play-off contenders.

As I say, win-win!

I make it 20 players we've got now who've played a league game.

Even if Stewart is only going to be on the bench he's a body, and he can be a good player on his day.

Not very much by the looks of it- there's a question mark whether Meyler will come, Bothroyd said no thanks to Bruce's offer and gone elsewhere, and we don't know where Elmo and Quinn will fit in.

I dont know how many times i have to say this but Quinn is a winger.

stewart is a very good attacking threat that has been playing in a team that haven't been very threatening going forward, im certain that if we altered our tactics he would benefit

And the Stewart deal has been splashed all over the for ages before it was confirmed.

I just think people should calm down for now, and criticise things at the end of the window if we're still looking dodgy then, rather than doing it in the middle of deadline day.

Surley you can understand people being on edge though.

I can understand the concern, but I don't I don't see the point in getting worked up about or panicking like some seem to be it until we know what the actual plan is. All Bruce's transfers previously have been filling gaps we had in the depth last season (adjusting to allow for his 532 away as well) so I'd be surprised if we did something that was going to create a weakness. If we leave ourselves light on wingers then my thoughts are we're going to play 532 all the time, in which case I'll need to look at what our depth is liked based on that system rather than convincing myself we're going to go 442 and not have depth.

Stewart wasnt doing it for us. On the tigers player they were saying that Bruce and Agnew were having a go at stewart every time that he had the ball for not taking the defender on and trying to get past him. My guess is that Bruce doesnt think much of him.

Wheres the quinn thing come from have we signed him??

I agree with a few about Cam very inconsistent and maybe needs a change of scenery to get his confidence back, i agree it may leave us a bit short of options in places, but alls well if we bring more in.

Too many on here at the moment pouncing on every decision Bruce makes and trying to put a negative spin on it, your making us as city fans look like a right set of depressing clueless ****ers, put it to bed eh and back the guy until its justified knocking him and were lower table going nower.

one of the reasons i stopped going on footymad, all the anti city brigade
