Also after ex Schalke midfielder Tranquillo Barnetta
 
He's a decent player but I don't see how he would fit in to our current team. Scored a great goal against us earlier in the season, and I think at the price quoted he'd probably be worth a punt- we know he can cut it at this level. Barnetta sounds more likely though as we seem to be doing a bit of business in the German market at the moment, and he's already got a former teammate signed here in Christian Fuchs. Can't say I know too much about him though.
 
We don't need him. One more centre mid if Cambiasso stays and two if not. Then another defender. I think if we're playing 4-4-2 we're short of a solid right back but in 3-5-2 we will need another centre back
 
Never rated Downing that much don't think we need him here.... At that price I would want Ronaldo not a 31 year old who past his best!
 
Not bothered either way on this one, certainly not the most important position to recruit in imo, unless hes going to be played central.

Agreed, wouldn't like to see him brought in at the detriment of Mahrez or Kramaric, but if we're looking to play him deeper then I could understand it. I think he has the capabilities to become a midfield playmaker.

This is what confused me when I heard we were after him - we don't play with wingers so where would he play?

Would prefer we go after a proper playmaker rather then teach an old dog new tricks.

West Ham played him more through the middle last season...
 
He'd play in the 1 in the 3-4-1-2 that we finished last season with if we were to sign him.
