HFM, thats completely untrue that rumour... Its been spoken about so many times on here its unbelievable. Mcnally said on twitter that they were untrue and it wasnt helping atall with the squad and that the fans need to be getting behind the lads.
Out the young British players Rodriguez is great shout a very neat forward good first touch knows how to finish, Rhodes is another player who has impressed me he reminds me slightly of Holt not in a physical type way but in footballing intelligence. Obviously Rodriguez has been plying his trade at higher level so he stands out a lot more also technically I think he has it.
Lambert on Canary call when asked about Pilkington said, "No there wasn't a knock or injury it was tactical". Like many others I found it very confusing, as he was by far and away our best player in the first half and really looked up for it. Saying that, we did score within a few minutes of the changes being made, so Lambert must have seen something. Can I just also say, please no more of the Morison/Tierny stuff, it's not productive and is pretty pointless. My feelings about Morison are by now well documented, but, if any of this stuff is true then I feel for the bloke and would like to see it left alone. After all, it's the football we're interested in isn't it? ILD OTBC
Exactly! Pilkington has a phenomenal goal tally for a LM who hasn't always been starting every match, so a Norwich supporter celebrates this rather than compares it to Morrison and looks for a negative!
pilks goal return has certainly been impressive. we'll need more goals from other areas once again next season - i think howson will get his fair share and it would be good if the centre halves could wade in with a couple each
I think that who comes in depends on who goes out and the other way round. We have always got to remember the magical 24 number. If Pl sticks with the 2 youngsters as back up for Ruddy this leaves space for 23 outfield players. If we could get the youngster on loan from Man Utd for the season and a youngster from Arsenal ( the Japanese lad or Frimpong ) for the season then this would probably leave room for 6 strikers - presumably 3 big and 3 quick. Holt and Vaughan are certain to stay which leaves room for 2 big and 2 quick. If Morison stays does he keep Wilbs for another year or does he let him go and bring in someone new? Would you really be happy with Holt, Morison and Wilbs as the 3 target men next year? If Jackson stays that leaves room for one new quick. If he goes then we need 2 more. Will PL have enough money to buy 2 or 3 strikers and get other players in? If we don't get underage loans and have to buy overage players then we are probably limited to room for only 5 strikers. If PL only buys 1 then which 4 of the existing strikers remain? Many questions but only PL knows the answers. Personally I still feel that he would let Morison and Jackson go for the right money in order to increase his transfer pot, Wilbs will only be offered another contract if we can have 6 strikers and who comes in depends upon who goes out.
