Not many people had Sky in those days so he may as well have been playing on Mars as in Spain.

My recollection was of Liverpool and England, McManaman terrorising centre backs with his runs and dribbling into the box from either side.

McManaman was a winger until Roy Evans took over '94 and gave him the freedom to roam which paid dividends. Him and Fowler had a great partnership on the pitch. So in terms of the poll, it's a tick in both boxes which it won't allow
