just listened to the interview and well SL comes over as a very dedicated person. I would agree the a##wipes that come up with comments like sack the board are truly amoebic brained nonentities that dont have a clue ... bet last few days before pay day they are skint and wonder why!!!!!
Although wouldn't commit to how much in the transfer kitty" regards the comments re FFP he dint say all that money is to pay the black hole but is a consideration that covers it!

It’s easy to confuse our (my) frustration and anger at our stagnation with anger and disrespect towards the Lansdown family.
For my part I am extremely grateful to them for the money they have invested in the club.
However, his comment about ‘They've got to understand that we can't do everything straight away’ underlines exactly my own feelings.
Steve - it’s NOT overnight. It’s been 29 years. During that time Huddersfield, Blackpool, Swansea, Cardiff and Luton have reached the Premiership, whilst the likes of Leicester, Leeds, Ipswich, Southampton and Forest have dipped into League 1 and also gained promotion to the Prem, whilst we’ve been treading water.
It looks like Wrexham will beat us to it this season. FFS Wrexham were non-league a few seasons back - as were Luton too.
It’s taken us 29 years to achieve mid-table Championship, whilst other, smaller clubs have tasted the promised land.
Please don’t talk to us fans about not sorting it out overnight. That’s condescending and disrespectful.
So, to summarise; I’m grateful to the money Steve has invested, but he - or his chosen people - have proven woefully inadequate when it comes to getting the club into the top flight.

Just to add to the above; the board and everyone connected to the club, including us fans - AND fans of other clubs knows when a contract is going to expire - from the day it’s signed.
To let them run down to the last 6 months and then panic is either deliberate or unprofessional.
There should be no need for a fire sale.

The comments made by Steve Lansdown have ticked me off beyond anything I have ever heard from Bristol City in my 65 years of loyal support. What he said made me realize that the many comments about his particpation over the last decades clearrly show that he is a liar, especially the bit about taking your time to make these important decisions regarding our club. The inner-club hierarchy stays the same with the same nonsensical decisions and the outright insulting of the supporter base as we too have been waiting for you to get off your arse and do something positive. I truly believe that some of our managers were poorly picked and the others were severely misled in their expectations of their contracts.

The business we have done in this and several transfer windows before have been a joke and there is clear evidence based on what transpired that no decent player wants to stay and help our club because the owner and his motley crew couldn't talk their way out of a wet paper bag in order to get someone to put pen to paper to re-sign. We are by definition a club that doesn't know it's backside from it's elbow and truly nothing will change with Lansdown at the helm and Tinnion mapping the chart to obscurity.

We all want what you want but to insult our integrity and to tell us we need to wait and be patient before success is a major slap in the face for all of us who have followed the team for many many seasons. What happend to all the monies gone from the top money sales of our players,, and please tell us if you will ever choose to re-invest that money in upgrading the manager and team because I'll just take a wild guess -NO?

Can you hear my tears and fears from the West Coast of Canada and do you really care about them? Again certainly NO.

The club has been poorly run forever
We have a nice stadium thanks to the time and investment that the Lansdown family have put in
But
There’s been no real ambition in all that time and things like the huge amount of injuries we’ve had and the vast sums we’ve wasted on awful or at least below par players brings into question the staff the club employ to take us forward
Even when we’ve been well placed the actions of the board have suggested they don’t want success

He talks with forked tongue 30 years owning the club- many teams have passed us by and are holding themselves in the top flight.
Brighton Brentford-Bournemouth- Many teams have gone down to league one and bounced back quickly to the prem.
Oh Derby two years ago were finished they tore us a new one Friday night oh to have their strikeforce.

When Wrexham take one of your longest serving players and they were non league a few years back your not a ambitious club they are. Derby just paid 6 million for Smodicks today they could not buy a packet of crisps a couple of years ago and we took their two best players in Knight and Bird.Lansdown has had thirty years to take city to the top flight -I still reckon that Hull game our boys were told not to go up.

Zak was a target for many of us during his earlier years but my goodness how he improved his image during the last 2 seasons. Obviously loyalty means nothing at AG, (unless your initials are TT), and I think over the years that is the reputation we have been dumped with due solely to our total lack of football knowledge and inner integrity. I wish I could be at Ashton Gate when Wrexham arrive, complete with Zak, and I truly think they will batter us all night and the inevitable will happen to an outfit that I have lost all faith in over too many years of being kicked in the goolies.

Good luck to you Zak on your move to Wrexham and I'm sure it will be nice to play for a team that has firm ambitions and so far have met them, and then some. I know that on your return to Ashton Gate you will get a standing ovation to thank you for your service and dedication to Bristol City. Don't worry about us still suffering the apathetic attitude of what is going on down in BS3 you just go and enjoy yourself in a placce of calm and hope. :emoticon-0106-cryin:emoticon-0137-clapp:emoticon-0137-clapp

SL gave it a go sanctioning 65 signings a few years ago.
in hindsight were we to impatient with persevering maybe if it had only been 45 it would have been easier to fine tune a couple into "squad players"!
We have never looked at the prospect of a 3 +1 year transfer in getting to more sought after about the 2 year mark and revised the contract as their worth has grown
ZV & AM flown the coop to teams that could give them PREM FOOTBALL!!!!!! Wrexham 11 off auto and Ipswich 4/7pts off who might be unlucky one or both

Lansdown said we must wait for success but we have been hearing the same old babble for centuries and when you look at how many clubs have passed us by during that period then therein lies the problem. Total apathy towards the supporters is no longer acceptable becaause we are getting the bum's rush each and every time a dictate comes from above, and frankly I have lost all interest in hearing the same old rhetoric from the same old people who should know better and more importantly do better. We have no game plan and we consistently hire people who are not up to the task or the standard and expect success will fall in our laps - dream on Steve but thanks for the revised Ashton Gate anyway.
