CL reporting that Steve Kavanagh (Charlton's CEO) resigned this morning, also Lawrie Wilson told he can't have his signing fee (40-50k) which was due when he signed until the end of August when we get money from Sky - he has complained to his old Stevenage team mates about this and the word is finally starting to get out into the wider the football world that we are f***ed, also we can't afford to move Leon Clarke on as we don't have the money to pay off any wages shortfall (the clubs after him won't pay more than half the £5-6k a week he's on and we have to pay up the difference), still as you all say in the club not bust thread, everything is fine, heads back in the sand ostriches...

It is true, sadly, don't shoot the messenger, of the six people on our board of directors at the end of last season, three (Alex Newall, Steve Kavanagh and Peter Varney) have now resigned, just three are left (Murray, Slater, Jiminez), I fear - the way things seem to be heading - that RM may be next, and there are serious rumours that Powell (Chris not Paddy) has had to be talked out of quitting at least once this summer, I wish this wasn't the case, but it's unravelling at a rate of knots now and ignoring it all won't make it go away.

You'll also note that on the Lawrie Wilson thread AFKABartram has had to 'step' in as things have got a bit personal, now I don't mind the threads 'reporting' this information but you always resort to having digs at though we are wrong for being optimistic. The fact is I'm going to let what happens on the pitch this season determine how I feel, if you don't like that then tough.

Just because others don't agree with you does not mean they are putting their heads in the sand or are in idiot or whatever term you or anyone cares to use. The fact of the matter is we should be able to discuss different points of views without having to get personal.

Well I can tell you that but there is really no point because no matter what I say people will not believe it.Slater is supposed to be making a statement in the SLP tomorrow let us hope it is more meaningful than his last effort.

Out of all that, it was only the first part about Kavanagh resigning is what has been said. The Wilson stuff is not fully true, and what is wrote above has been exaggerated from what was posted.

Slater has said not to worry and there is talk of a further statement tomorrow.

Does he not deserve the chance to say what he intends without being shot down before given the opportunity?

Also- for those discussing about "being right" and referring to others as having their heads in the sand and rose tinted specs etc... What have you been proved right on? Honest question. "no smoke without fire" isn't a good answer...

The puddle jumping curtain twitchers powder puffs that frequent the Charlton life site are all so full of crap. God they make me want to puke. They do not have one bollock between them. Don't listen to their self absorbed, bordering on the insane, drivel.

When I am chairman on match days I will insist they all sit together preferably in Luton.

they do go a bit OTT with things said, either a) 'cos they have no sense of humour or b) they suffer from anxiety.

i just dunno where they get this stuff from. "we're skint i tells ya, lets get a collection together" - how so? we have just signed the second biggest sponsorship deal in the champ and being kitted out by nike. we have players on sensible wages now, and less of them (6 out this summer, 2 in), and we're getting millions more from being in the champ rather than league one.

all's good. lets just enjoy the football.

It's on the OS,but it must have been lies because CL broached the story hours ago and no one on here believes what is posted on CL.They are beastly bounders or is it arse lickers, who know nothing.I thought that thread was going to be taken down. You just have a lovely time in la la land where all the nasty creatures turn into sugar coated sweets.Where night time doesn't exist and there are no baddies only goodies.Goodnight children.Sweet dreams.

Can we please ban the people who only come on here to insult people on this forum?

Like I said before, they're more concerned with being right than they are about Charlton.

Dick. Go and read the Charlton life post. It's says SK has resigned and has walked out of the club. He has not. Go and read the OS. He has resigned as a director. Simple management reconstructuring. Charlton life then has all the pissypants saying that Chris Powell wants to leave, we are the next Portsmouth, there is a meteorite heading towards the valley, you can actually watch the mania and fear brewing. They are a bunch of pansies who disgust me. I have never known a group like it, lemmings and puffs.

If you ask me it's all manufactured by certain Charlton lifers who want to worm their way into jobs at cafc by blackmail and fear. This board saved us last season and bought 22 players and Chris Powell and this is the support they get...disgusted.

Why the personalised attacks? Kavanagh standing down from the Board is fact. Speculating as to why, is normal fan stuff. Dramatic pronouncements that the club is ****ed etc. is near hysterical scaremongering in my view.
