I suppose it's the nature of the pass that helps. I would imagine that Wanyama makes a fair few short and square passes, to explain that completion rate. I say this because I see him give the ball away quite often and those that go astray are often not difficult passes to complete.:)

True. Simple stats can be very misleading sometimes.

Have to look at Wanyama over the season...he makes a lot of passes, so some are bound to go astray. Also bear in mind that he is noticeable...I know last year I used to muddle up some of our players so was less likely to assume one was making all the mistakes.

I was getting a lot of de ja vu, then I read the dates, a good bump, nice to know he is doing all right, was never going to hack it here though.

Matty was asked about how he would fit into our present team and he said he would just have to get fit. He sounded as if he would have been up for it. Tiss was good enough to coast without even trying...imagine how good he would have been if he'd worked at it. I don't think he has a lot of regrets though...Matty is one of the lucky ones...enough is sufficient, doesn't chase the rainbow.

Not really. Not many doubted his ability but he did not have the all round work rate required to be regular in our team. Hell - even Le God would struggle in this team.

Er, depends what you mean by ability. I never doubted his ability to run fast. I often doubted his ability to run fast and remember to take the ball with him and then to remember what he should do with said ball.

He wasn't a good enough footballer to be a regular in this team, or last season's team, or the season before that.
