Aye mate, I come from an age when if the team was **** and lost we booed them off. The same lads came out the week after gave a 100% and lost and we cheered off. They were proper professionals then and knew the people watching them play, paid their wages and had the right to give them stick. Now we have Sunderland supporters whining about the crowd giving the mercenary players stick. Like you say been more embarrassed but at least the players then were embarrassed too.
Who do we replace him with then, bear in mind, Martin O'Neil has'nt been employed for a while, who would do a better job, we have a history of sacking managers & bringing in worse Wilkinson, Butcher & McMenemy are 3 that spring to mind.
