He must have been one seriously unwanted child to be laden with that moniker!

Back to Fletch, I think he is ticking over just keeping himself ready for his last move to Celtic and easy street. The only thing that could ruin his plan would be another career threatening injury, similar to the one he got playing for Scotland, hence his total lack of commitment, which is so obvious and annoying, but understandable.

Really? If that's the reason he's been ****e for two full seasons and starting his last ****e then I think it's disgusting behavior and completely unprofessional. He's contracted to us and should be giving 100%. No excuses imo.

I agree, I wasn't condoning his behavior in any way, just trying to make sense of it.

Perhaps the hair treatment took away too much of his mojo?

He's absolute garbage by EPL standard (and possibly by Championship standard), both in ability and attitude. He will never get any better and it's clear why nobody wants him (we couldn't even get 2 million for him I reckon). The fact that we threw in 13 million when we were the only interested party at the time speaks volumes. So does the fact that we'd all rather see Danny Graham start instead of him any day of the week - seriously, think about that.

Our main hope is that we can use Borini at CF, with Lens and Defoe on either side (with AJ offering competition and starting ahead of Defoe if everything went well).

If Borini can only play LF, then that puts Lens at RF and leaves a tough choice at CF between Defoe (not suited) and Toi (who is needed more as an AM) or, gulp, Graham.

The thing about Fletcher is that he scored goals in his first season for us - and looked every bit a good signing before his injury. He now shows that he has a decent touch once in every 3 or 4 games and shows a nice little bit of skill about the same! It's bloody annoying as I know he is a better footballer than he is showing - I don't think it's anything to do with ability - just attitude!
