That there game was the one and only time iv'e come away happy, after we lost a game. A great display of football, and we didn't even play badly.

I'd always remembered the Hunt goal v Chelsea to be a free kick from miles away too, he must have scored one for us at some point away from home?!

On the opening day of season 09/10 Hunt put us 1-0 up @ Chelsea in the PL> Que song "We are top of the league"" as we were for all of 20 mins or so.
Only Alan Wiley got Chelsea back into it with a free kick award(that Drogba scored from to make it 1-1) which wasn't and that crazy fluke for the winner.

I remember us v Spurs for Bo's heroics, they were beatable after all!

2 trips to White Hart Lane in PL action and they did not score against Hull City. Hopefully a third one next season.

One the Stephen Hunt debate. I would have him back in a heartbeat but only if the price was right and the wages sensible. Looking at reports from Wolves they want Hunt out and Hunt wants Out. Stephen Hunt was one of only a few good points during season 09/10. FACT.

He is a good pro and would be more than good enough for the championship. He would also have a point to prove. After 3 relegations Hunt needs a further promotion on his CV before he retires i would suggest.

He can cross, Which is more than Stewart can. And IMO thats one of the most important traits for a winger. If the price and wages are right, I'd gladly have him back.

I thought at the time that Defoe's 3rd was one of the best strikes of a ball I've seen in the flesh.

All 3 of his goals were quality. That's how a striker should hit it. I think he's one of the best strikers of a ball we have in this country and if he was taller or stronger he'd be a key figure for the national team rather than the bit-part player he always ends up being.

Season opener in 09/10, scored the first premier league goal of the season in our early kick off with a free kick from almost the halfway line, no one got on the end of it, it bounced in the middle of the box and into the top corner of the goal. Shame Drogba scored a goal of equal flukeyness in injury time with a skewed cross that lobbed the keeper and bent into the top corner to beat us 2-1, I thought we played magnificent that day and were great value for a point. Oh well, not like it would have made much difference anyway in te gran scheme of things...

Erm, no he really didnt. You're completely confused here. His goal at Stamford Bridge was a tap in after ther keeper spilled a George shot. You're thinking of his goal at the KC.

If you're going to say something with such authority you should at least check the details.
