For me, the formation is critical to our current success/failure, but the player chart shows a few interesting things - Cleverley was on 7 out of 9 pts, Asprilla hasn’t played a full 90 (which I hadn’t noticed), and no player but Bachmann has played every minute, with Kabasele and Kayembe recording the most time on the pitch. Most results are roughly on par, except Rotherham away, which from recent history is clearly dropped points, but Rotherham are not misfiring at all this season. I can’t see our Rotherham result on the ‘this season results grid’, it’s probably me! Great work as usual, NZ. Thank you.
Its a marathon not a sprint We have spent the last 4 weeks not knowing who we were going to have in our squad, now we have almost too much talent the next six games will tell us how good Rob Edwards is as a coach
GT said don't look at the table until after 10 games. We have played ten games and we are showing that we are a mid-table side. I am wondering if this is going to be another season like the one when Kenny Jackett was in charge. We drew too many games in that season to make a reasonable challenge.
Then we got promoted the following season as Champions The best way to go up as Champions Second best is via The Playoff Final Most boring way is as runner up
If you go up as runner up, don’t get more time in the market? I was happy to take 2nd last time, because the stress of a PO Final is not pretty!
Automatic promotion or via Playoffs would not have mad e a difference to our recruitment last time I would sooner use this year to try and build a squad to win the title next season
Don’t you think Gino is less likely to invest as much next season? I’m worried, duggie, that if we don’t go back in one, we could all too easily turn into Stoke. Or worse.
You could be right but I seem to remember when they recruited Edwards they said they would give him the time he needs and at the start of the season they said promotion would be preferred but not essential, he was also told he did not have to include Sarr and or Pedro in his starting lineups in case they were sold
I read somewhere that some 'expert' thought that at the end of the season the gap between 6th and 21st could be the lowest ever. Some Stoke fans are worried that they may have to beat us at the Vic on the last day of the season to stay up.
I think Scott Duxbury said that. Feel Mr Pozzo is demanding and expecting promotion though. Well can still do it clearly but need to have a consistent team out to get a run of results together. Shame we couldn't build on Sunday.
