A blank slate. Warning - there are unlikely to be any updates at the end of December and all January. I will be away with the family.
I didn't have time to comment this morning but there seem to have been an awful lot of draws in the games so far. Do the football pools still exist? If they do, no one will be winning much? The other thing is that it is early days. What follows is the table after 4 games and at the end of the season for last season and the one before that. Last year Nottingham Forest and Sheffield Utd were the bottom two teams after 4 games but both reached the play-offs. The season before that Norwich were 17th after four games, just as they are this season. 2021/22 2020/21
Great stuff, NZ! Loads to chew over, but I suppose main headline for me at the moment is how even the league is - the points are shared out more than usually at this stage.
Something that would be interesting, if impossible to do would be to see how we perform in different formations. I think we were better when we played four at the back, and I wonder if the stats for that would back my theory. I find the player one excellent, NZ, and trajectory always interesting. Thanks for doing this.
That's beyond me, Andy. What would I do if the formation changes in a game? Later someone could extract how we did when we had particular players, or combination of players, in the side. For example, how we do when Kabasele and Sierralta are our central defenders.
