In the last 100 years Manchester United have only won the League/Premier League under two managers - Matt Busby and Alex Ferguson. Unless they find someone exceptional to take over they are unlikely to win anything except the FA and League cups. Mind you, that is better than us.

I much prefer doing this when there is a green line.
Against the same teams we have done better in one season. That was the relegation season.

According to EPL rules we are actually joint 15th not 16th, but I can't be bothered to change everything. If I remember next week I will do it.

I thought it was interesting that Cleverley talked about keeping above a point a game as an indication of how they were doing.

That is always how I look at it, same as 2 points per game last season

I may not be able to do the mid week one until after the weekend and the weekend results. So round 17 and 18 will be late. I am going on holiday to Fiordland and probably won't take the laptop ( I value my marriage). Sorry.

whether we expected it or not, we are in a relegation battle.
There are 3 metrics for escaping relegation.
1) 40 points - seems enough.
2) From the expert book, 1 goal a game.
3) Ignore the 'top 6' , I.e Viteh,Manure, Liddypool, Spursy, chelski & the ar*e and then win all other home games.

If we follow 2) , we would be on 6 points. So let's forget that one.

If we take version 3 , it isn't so bad. We are 2 home wins down - Soton & Wolves and 1 home draw (newcassel) instead of a win.. BUT , we are 2 away wins up.
AND we are 1 'top 6' up. So we are 2 points ahead in the quest for 39 !
