Never in doubt, was always the Tory’s trying to make trouble, trying to cover for Boris’ behaviour. No need for any of that nonsense now , thankfully he’s gone, well sort of, the sooner he’s gone for good the better.
I smell corruption.....as Supercon says, double standards..The fact that the rest of the Country was locked down and unable to meet up with relatives or attend funerals etc..Never in doubt, was always the Tory’s trying to make trouble, trying to cover for Boris’ behaviour. Not at all, there were exceptions, specific rules for work meetings, The Labour Party stayed within the rules, by the way Boris was involved in around a dozen such gatherings, only once was he found to have broken the rules.I smell corruption.....as Supercon says, double standards..The fact that the rest of the Country was locked down and unable to meet up with relatives or attend funerals etc..
Reminds me of the double standards of the corrupt and tarnished BBC..
We are all being played as fools...
Not double standards at all, having a drink with colleagues during a legitimate work event was within the rules, that’s a fact. You may not like it, but it was within the COVID rules at the time. The police investigated twice and found no rules were broken.Double Standards to be honest! If he had a drink with colleagues during lockdown, he broke the rules - SIMPLE! It doesn't matter how long it went on for, he was doing things the rest of us couldn't, as did the Tories who rightly got punished.
I find Starmer a bit too smarmy for my liking and think he would he would be weak on the world stage, and go MIA if he was the PM. He's 100% better than Corybn - not that it's hard. The country (and the World for that matter) are in a financial mess, so having Labour in charge would only make that worse.

I don’t know the exact wording applicable to Durham at the time no, but obviously the Labour Party did and stuck to them. I do know under certain circumstances you were allowed food and drink in a work setting as long as the relevant rules were adhered too.Do you know what they were?
We don’t know the exact circumstances, Labour obviously felt they had applied the correct rules, the police investigated fully and agreed with then, I don’t see the problem.I still can't understand how a pre planned, pre ordered Alcoholic drinks and curry event for 30 people, which was evidenced by a photograph was with in Covid rules, it's barmy.
Yep, rules for them and other rules for the rest of us..........blinkers comes to mind!!........We don’t know the exact circumstances, Labour obviously felt they had applied the correct rules, the police investigated fully and agreed with then, I don’t see the problem.

I've said all along that MP's had no fear when it came to Covid.......just aimed at the mass

, I smell a wumJust because you don’t understand doesn’t mean it isn’t correct, just means you don’t understand the rules correctlyI still can't understand how a pre planned, pre ordered Alcoholic drinks and curry event for 30 people, which was evidenced by a photograph was with in Covid rules, it's barmy.
I never mentioned it wasn't correct, I genuinely think it's barmy, 30 of them caught quaffing back copius quantities of San Miguel and curry red handed, I don't understand it but that's the law.Just because you don’t understand doesn’t mean it isn’t correct, just means you don’t understand the rules correctly
The point is Wiz, they obviously knew what the rules were and kept within them, if it wasn’t within the rules they wouldn’t have done it. Why criticise people for doing things that were within the rules. I don’t get it.I never mentioned it wasn't correct, I genuinely think it's barmy, caught quaffing back copius quantities of San Miguel and curry red handed, I don't understand it but that's the law.

My point was Labour knew the rules specific to the workplace and area they were in, and kept within them. You were posting about specifics. I do know this. If my workplace being a care service had acted similarly we would have been breaking the law, and the staff would have been involved in multiple breeches of covid regulation and risk assessment = illegal gross misconduct.
My service was NOT allowed boozy gatherings of thirty to feast on curries. Wider society on that date was also NOT allowed to do similar.
Check the covid rules for the timescale.
