Question....How long will it take to build an extension for 6,000 extra fans and how would they do it.? Will we be able to keep playing there while major work is going on remembering it is a small ground. What about the ospreys that don't have any objections but they will be effected also and will have to be compensated.....If health and safety say we have to move while work is going on then where would we go?.......These are just a sample of questions that need to be answered and there will be many many more, Its not as simple as just saying we want an extension is it.....

Dai really come on you are pulling at straws now, the H&S aspect is not going to stop the work going ahead. This would be part of the planning of the job and undertaking it, there is no way that any project such as this is not methodically planned and executed.

On the other hand perhaps that is why it has not started as there are issues that keep arising which in turn increases the cost....Where are these plans ? i would love to see them and find out just how they propose to do it.

The building part is easier than the planning application.

Ground works can be easily done and be conferment with Heath and Safety for match day games. The super structure (steel works) again can be done without any disruption to any games. The roof work will have to be done during the closed season.

This works should take anything between 6-7 months, hence why it will be critical to start works in January, for the stand to be fully functional for the start of the 2016 season.

"Where would we go?"

Well, how about a ground share with Cardiff? Taking Premier League football to the Capital City for a short period would be sweetly ironic

These plans are PROPOSED plans...<laugh> 2013 and nothings been done.....WHY?

Dai I'm sure you're not completely stupid, so I'll say it once more to see if it actually reaches your brain, commercial planning is very complex, there are lots of things to consider and a lot of things that must be done to ensure things proceed.

Now I'm sure with your monopoly styled property empire you must have applied for planning permission for one of your properties, was it as complex as a stadium expansion, or was it just an extension? I know I've been going back and forth with the council over a proposed property I'm building, it's only been 18 months.

You haven't answered about the objections, can you tell me why no objections has been received from the police, local businesses or local residents over the expansion? If any had been received it would be on the application process

Why has it gone quiet and no mention at all except that we want to expand ? Something should be concrete now after all it was in 2013 when we started this expansion nonsense. With a stadium as small as ours would disrupt the club immensely plus the cost it would incur is just not worth it and would be far cheaper too build a brand new one. I want an expansion as much as anyone but its been nearly 3 years now and we are still waiting for some concrete news.....there is nothing just like it has been since the proposed plans were submitted....

Dai it hasn't been 3 years has it? It was mentioned in 2011 only, the conditions weren't met until 2013, the plans were then put in to planning, it has one objection from the Crown Estates. This then went into 2014 where I gathered the objection was dealt with. Now the plan is the first stage of building is the start of next year.

All in all I think this has gone pretty smoothly for such an application. As for it would be cheaper to build a brand new stadium, tell me how that can be done for less than £40m when you mentioned previously £100m, and where such a stadium can be build?

Also as we have 40 years of a lease agreement left, how will we get out of that without it costing probably millions.

If only ;) still we have what we have and must deal with the consequences of the sports council of Wales refusing a grant if we built a 25k stadium to begin with. We were supposed to get something like the MK Dons ground built over by where morrisons is now.
