I've never understood the logic behind the name "St Totteringham's Day." Sure, I know that there is a supposed funny play on the word "totter" (meaning "to move in a feeble or unsteady way") and the parody of "Totteringham" with "Tottenham." But why would it be "Tottenham's Day" when we reach the point of not being able to overtake Arsenal in the league? Surely, that would make it Arsenal's Day, not ours?
I've been celebrating St Wunnuffinks day for at least 5 years. I alway buy gooner friends a drink when they can no longer win anything and vice versa, they help me drown my sorrows when Spurs season ends.
