No interrobang on my keyboard. Sounds like a bit of a pain in the backside when you want to log in. Then again, that's why I picked my username.

Make room Dan‽. HotBovril has sent me a PM and he's got your number. :D

That's two in the Ivory Tower.

Plenty of room up here, I've just come back from Ikea.

It sounds like an adult movie filmed in a police station.

Hahaha, yes it does!

None on mine, but I have auto log-in on my computer. Probably should have thought this through, I'll never be logging in on my phone.

That really confused me. can someone explain how that works?

This how I got there:

Googled TheSecondStain's name, as he hinted that it was a clue.
Found out that it was a Sherlock Holmes episode
Found out there was another Sherlock Holmes episode called "The Adventure of the Dancing Men"
A quick Google images search gave me the alphabet in dancing men.

Oh, cheers. <ok>

Certainly.

What to do if you have no idea. The first clue was, as I said, in my forum name, but not the right adventure. That was to cover me against people who would have no idea that The Second Stain is not only a play on The Second Saint, but that it is a Sherlock Holmes adventure. As I pointed out, it wasn't the right one. If you look through the short stories, the correct adventure reveals itself. It's called The Dancing Men, and it features a gang member who sends messages in dancing men code. If you'd fancied, you could have read the short story in probably 20-30 minutes, from a free e-book which would have given you all the clues you needed. OR, you could have googled Dancing Men in Google Images, got a Dancing Men alphabet, and worked it out that way. But it would have been more satisfying to do it from the story.

So there you go. Hopefully, most people had fun, having a go. ;)

QWERTY got near.

Definitely would have been more satisfying to actually read through it, but when Google is right there...

Just shows how powerful a half decent Search Engine is. Like the majority, I've lived most of my life without the Internet, but I almost can't recall living without it. The hassle it saves you is incredible. Even if it is just finding the clues to solving a puzzle.

Currently, I'm trying to get a computer illiterate friend to try the internet. His eyes glaze over when I talk to him about the time it'll save him and how useful it will be for him. It's an uphill struggle, but I think he's finally starting to see what it can do for him.

My 88-year old Grandfather just got an iPad. These are strange times.
