35yo Kyle Lafferty, who isn't good enough for Kilmarnock is NOT the answer

It's not just a case of putting someone in the box who can head the ball.

    100% - couldn’t agree any more.

    I can’t believe people can’t see this.

Hume is our first choice RB now. Might just see Gooch go back to his natural attacking position

Lafferty won’t sign, I’d want better than him anyway if we were to sign a free agent. Someone had used him as an example and I pointed out he’d be better than nobody, which I firmly believe.

When was the last time Gooch played in an attacking position for us? We’re well stocked there now. He’ll be cover for LB and RB imo. I hope he’s back fit soon though, his versatility is massive, especially when we’re stretched with injuries.

I'd rather play Gooch as a striker than sign Kyle ****ing Lafferty.

I think I’d be full Speakman out if Lafferty came in

He won’t sign, the club won’t be going for any 35 year olds. Especially after the Defoe embarrassment.

Right, I'm out of this debate now.

We didn't sign Simms and Stewart was injured.

It looks as though we weren't selling Stewart so probably weren't trying too hard to get not only Gelhardt but another striker.

Whatever the case we go on with what we've got and can't afford to dwell on this for the last 18 games.

    Ha'way the Lads.

The squad is fantastic and including the injured players, we're good in every position. It probably speaks to the recruitment team having a fantastic vision long term but perhaps being a little weak at reactionary signings.

My memory of Lafferty for what its worth , was that he gave his all in the few games he had, Most don't agree ,
Not keen then, fair enough. <ok>

Agreed, no point in bringing in a plodder, why do we need a big holding player, the talent we have in attack can break down any defence, as seen against Fulham. We've scored 41 league goals this season, Stewart got 10, 2 of which were penalties, how did we manage to score the other 31 without a striker?
I'm confident with what we've got! OAU. FTM

Hope that Gelhardt stays fit for the rest of the season, if not I think we have little chance of a top 6 finish
