Yes Redmen do generally look down on Spuds because of the way that they act (in terms of posting). Comparatively you do have very little history in terms of titles and trophies. You then go on to mix league and CL performance. Any side with CL experience can tell you that performance in one is no guarantee in the other - ask United, Chelsea and Arsenal about that!

Of course we belittle the extent of your aims - because they are not our aims. If you actually looked at the statements made by our owners and our manager about the AIMS for our club then you would understand that 4th spot is for US not good enough!

The flaw with your final paragraph is that you merely highlight that just how dependant upon 1 player that you really are. We truly believe that Suarez is the better player of the 2 as he has more to offer.

Finaly answer this question for yourself. IF Spurs were really a target for our ire then why do we not have a 'stickied' thread here similar to your Mouser Watch?

I'm not complaining about anything. The first post gave an opinion of some spurs fan so I gave an opinion back on some of your fans.

I agree with you that juggling competitions isn't easy but my point was reaching the quarter finals was dismissed as embarassing and we would be failures next season if we qualify. This may turn out to true but if we're progressing further than you in the europa this season and are likely to finish higher in the league too, what is there to suggest you will cope better?

As for statements by managers/owners, unless they said they were looking to challenge for the title this season then we in fact had similar aims. If 4th was not good enough for you for this season then the manager and players have all surely failed and under performed especially if they don't even get 4th. As for long term aims I can find numerous links were we've said we want to be challenging for titles and the bigger trophies so if these are your aims too they are in fact the same.

The major flaw with your argument about suarez is if we are dependent on an inferior player who has less to offer then what is the reason for the current points advantage we have. Another flaw here (although may be not your opinion but if it was it would be completely inconsistent) is if bale has just been ok for a few games what's the main reason for the points advantage we've accumulated in the games where the player we are so dependant on has been less than ok.

I don't actually want to get into a long bale or suarez argument (or any argument really) as I'm sure everyone has their strong opinions and it could go on forever.

There is no stickied mouser thread from what I can see.

Why is Suarez a better player than Bale? I believe because Louis Suarez can and does add to the players around him by creating both space and goal chances for his colleagues far more consistently than Bale. Whilst Bale is faster over the ground he does not have the close ball control that Suarez has.

Unfortunately it appears that you did not do any research on our AIMS ( I did give you 2 reference points). If you had done then you would know that our AIM is intact. Wherever we finish this season our players have not failed in terms of our club aim.

to be fair I think most spurs fans will say they prefer Bale and we will say we prefer Suarez, just a bit of tribalism really. Suarez is better though :)

Whilst I don't agree with you about Suarez v Bale as I can add may things Bale is better than Suarez at but I'm sure you'll add many things that Suarez has the advantage in, I don't need an explanation for that. I can see why people can think otherwise. What I was getting at is that I've seen many posters just downplay Bale's ability to just to make Suarez look better than he is. Saying Bale has just been ok for a few games and then saying we only have one player (I've seen the same posters say both) is surely contradictory and just changing your argument just to suit whether you're comparing spurs to liverpool or bale to suarez.

If you are right that these are not your club aims then fair enough but it would be interesting to hear what they are as I'm not sure what they are. From what I remember when your owners and rodgers joined I heard various interviews and read statements where they both said they will fight to get back to winning titles. They also said it would take time and not happen immediately but that would be what they were progressing to. I've heard the same from our owners and manager (maybe not the get back bit) so unless you can share your true club aims I can't agree with you. I've also seen progress with new stadium development and we now have a brand new training ground so you can't say that we're not looking to improve.

who cares... bale is a potential top player and as soon as he leaves spurs he will be a top player... just like suarez had to leave ajax ;)
 
You are odds on favourite to win this pm. If you start well and score early I can see an easy win for you. However if Spurs score early...

I didn't say you were jealous at all. Overall though I think your fanbase has struggled to come to terms with us being the better team for the time being, hence why I've seen lots predicting that you'd overtake us in all of the past seasons. BBF and Foredeck are serving as good examples in this thread.

If rock bottom is finishing out of the top 4 for a few years then I'm certainly jealous of you guys :D

I wasn't saying you're deluded but that's the kind of term that gets banded around this forum, just like you accused us of being arrogant. The reality is that part of supporting your team is wanting the best for them and that will turn into some fans expecting the best and that's across the board. Being deluded isn't Spurs fans expecting to finish top 4(not that many did this season) or Arsenal fans expecting to finish or anyother people making fairly reasonable predictions that will either come true or not.

Beginning to get more optimistic... been playing fm2010 and Carragher just got a hattrick against spurs in a 3-2 win.

Carragher ffs. That makes 6 for the season (all from corners)... and no, not own goals!

I figure that has to be a good omen that Carra will win the game for us today.

/Reina has 4 assists!

Yid, if not believing that Bale is as good as Suarez; knowing that we are a far more successful club than Spurs has ever been is supposed to make me jealous then I stand guilty as accused. I know very well what my club is aiming to achieve and that we are making progress but have a way to go. It's not something that I need to come to terms with, it's something that I celebrate here.

Whilst you have garnered more points so far this season and have finished above us in seasons where we have encountered some of darkest days, I still do not believe that you have the better team. I firmly believe that our squad has the greater potential - what we have lacked is consistancy. So enjoy your time in the sun because very soon your side will only glimpse it through our shadow.
 
Bale and Suarez both great players. I'd rather have Suarez... but then... I'm a little biased... if I'm honest if I were a spud I'd probably rather have Bale.

As a neutral... I'd be Swiss.
