Just a suggestion, but its been noted that Bill Nich was a one club man, how about the player, as much as I loved Hoddle for us, he still left , or does that matter? To have a one club player narrows it down a bit. Perryman (can't really include his last year with Brentford) to be in keeping the history theme. Or Ledders for a past and present kind of theme. Any others?
Thanks a lot for the suggestions, Blackcatsteve. Good work on the Geordie banner, too. I think your name might have put them off! Excellent stuff, WY. Keep it up.
Should I just ask for it to be changed to 'Tottenham Hotspur 4-0 Liverpool' until we've picked out a new one?
Tbh Ens I meant the one in the pic we have now, be a bit crass imo on any new one we may get. Might look daft later on too, especially if we have a better result against someone else!
Its a great idea... and if we lose, we can leave last weeks win up there! On a serious note, from what I've read its a bit of a mission getting it changed, dunno how they'll feel about wanting to be changed willy nilly!...no harm asking though.
I think that the constantly changing banner's a bit of a no-no, to be honest. I'm not sure how involved it is, but it involves Mick (the bloke that runs the site) and he's pretty busy, from what I can tell. Picking one for the season would probably be the best idea, unfortunately.
Not a fan of using the NDP as the banner, as much as i'm in favour of the stadium itself, if we are going to have a stadium on our banner i'd rather have a real picture of White Hart Lane than a computer generated picture of a non-existent stadium.
Not finished with it, but just to give you an idea, but its 3:30am and cant be bothered to do anymore to it tonight, at least if most say its crap, i know i can just scrap it. please log in to view this image What it should look like please log in to view this image
Looks good but I'm not sure about the stripes though. They look a bit strange on the picture of Saint Nick.
yeah i know i had a go at messing with that after i uploaded it, i think its because the picture is Black and white, so it shows the stripes as white (which is what they are) as the other 2 pics are colour it works as i had intended. I am full of flu/sinus crap atm and been up all night with it, just cant get to bloody sleep at all, which means i just cant be bothered to mess with PS right now, but i will try to sort it when i get a bit better, and feel more up to it.
Yes, I think it looks sharp, and I'm a designer, so I'm supposed to know. I think it's good as is. If I had two suggestions, it might be to try the dark, black stripe as navy blue, and to see if you can superimpose a Tottenham score of choice over the bright green scoreboard so that it would be legible. I mean, incidentally, to be suggesting things that can be tried relatively quickly.
Dont worry about it, been awake for about 48 hours now, and still wide awake, which is the surprising part, going to have to try to get some sleep in a minute though. I still havnt really touched the banner since i showed it on here, tried a couple of things, but still didnt look right, and making all the pics black and white, looks crap as well to me, i will sit down at the weekend and try some new things with it. having the picture of the stadium as the full banner is a bit of a pain though, as its a bit boring, its nice to have a few things in it, I like to put 1 or 2 landmarks in, but as I have only been to London twice and that was 20+ years ago, and never been to Tottenham at all, I am at a loss, I even went on google maps and closest thing i could find was Alexander palace, but even that seems to be miles away from Tottenham, so if there is anything, tell me and i will see what i can do, if there isnt anything at all, then it will have to just be stadium and players/managers by the looks of it. (but colour photos preferably lol)
Landmark? If you visited Tottenham 20 yrs ago, the only thing that will have changed is the haircolour of people who live there!...theres nothing (hence recent disturbance ). Nice gesture, but footy theme is all you've got mate.
