Nor will Bale/Modric. In two of the three PL games we've lost to Spurs, those two were absolutely outstanding. Of the side Spurs fielded against Arsenal, only Walker had experienced more than 2 NLD's and it showed against an Arsenal side packed with experience in that fixture. Everyone has different opinions, but 9/10 I'd back experience in any derby. It's one of the main reasons Atletico Madrid hardly ever beat Real Madrid and also why Everton hardly ever beat Liverpool. The likes of Casillas/Ramos/Gerrard/Carragher know how to play the respective fixtures and get a result, especially away from home. The likes of Cech, Mikel, Terry, Cole, Ivanovic and even to a degree Ramires and Luiz have experience in playing in this fixture and know what it's all about. I'm not sure the same can be said of the Spurs players but at the end of the day when all is said and done it's 90 minutes played on the football pitch that will decide it and there isn't much between the sides these days. Spurs have become much harder for us to beat.
Eriksen has experience of of derbies with Ajax, Paulinho will have in Brazil, they didn't play v the goons
Your right,so he has experience of a london derby, also Dembele has, and Lamela has played in Rome local derbies,so hopefully it will be a good game
Bold statement? Not really. We spurs fans have every right to confident considering 1- were at home 2- we're playing fantastic whilst your not playing that great. I never said we would definetly beat you. I said 2-1 spurs or 2-2 draw but I certainly don't think you will beat us. Now I could say yours is a bold statement with you saying "I'm very confident of a win"
Chelsea must be just a little bit worried about facing a team which has scored twenty times as many goals as its conceded so far this season.
Most obvious result is a draw as Tottenham doesn't score much and their not the most creative team. Chelsea will just sit back and play on the counter
We are more creative now with Eriksen, and Hotby now finding his international form, but a draw is the obvious result, still i'm going for a Spurs win
And yet Spurs have amassed more points in the second half of the season than the first in five out of the last seven seasons. Including last season, when we won 33 points after the first 19 matches compared with 39 points in the last 19 matches. Go figure! Tottenham Hotspur Premier League Points Won 1992-93 to 2013-14
