  1. Tottenham v Liverpool:
    • Tottenham have won just one of their last 21 Premier League games against Liverpool (D6 L14), a 4-1 win at Wembley Stadium in October 2017.

    • Liverpool have scored at least once in each of their last 15 Premier League games against Spurs. However, they've also only kept two clean sheets in that run, with both sides finding the net in each of the last six meetings between the sides.

    • Tottenham will be looking to start a Premier League campaign with a seven-game unbeaten run for just a third time (unbeaten in their first 12 in 2016-17 and fist seven last term).

    • Liverpool’s current 17-game unbeaten streak in the Premier League (W12 D5) is 10 games longer than any other side’s (Arsenal and Spurs both 7). Since their last defeat in the competition (4-1 v Man City back in April), only Man City (43) have won more top-flight points than the Reds (41).

    • Son Heung-min has scored five goals in his last three Premier League appearances, as many as in his previous 17 beforehand. However, all five have come away from home, with the Spurs forward goalless in his last four Premier League games at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

    • Mohamed Salah has either scored (six goals) or assisted (nine assists) a goal in each of his last 12 Premier League appearances, including all six of Liverpool’s league games this season (three goals, four assists).

Johnson won’t play against Liverpool
Postecoglou shared a disappointing update on the Welshman.
“Brennan will miss out this week, it’s nothing too serious but enough to keep him out this week,” Postecoglou said.
Bajcetic suffers setback
Whilst disappointing news for Bajcetic, his injury setback does once again highlight just how careful Liverpool need to be here.

The Spaniard is undoubtedly one of the best prospects in European football right now. But he’s not good to the Reds if he’s never fit.

By giving Bajcetic an extended period to recover from his lengthy issue earlier in the year, Liverpool are hopefully elongating his career.

Every time we have played spurs I have never worried about kane so.much as he's as slow as slow can be.

I've always worried about son running at us.

they've now stationed him up top with others joining.

it'll be interesting to see what that does for us.

I quite fancy this game could come down to who's the fitter side in the end.

Cody Gakpo replaces Darwin Nunez in the only tweak made to the team deployed in the 3-1 win over West Ham United last Sunday.

In total, the Reds make nine changes from Wednesday’s Carabao Cup tie with Leicester City, with only Gakpo and Curtis Jones retaining their places in the XI.

Trent Alexander-Arnold returns to the squad and is named on the bench.

Liverpool: Alisson, Gomez, Matip, Van Dijk, Robertson, Mac Allister, Szoboszlai, Jones, Diaz, Salah, Gakpo.

Subs: Kelleher, Endo, Konate, Nunez, Elliott, Jota, Tsimikas, Gravenberch, Alexander-Arnold.

Bench is looking brilliant. Should have lots of options to change things up if needed

Going dark until tomorrow.

I'm leaving the responsibility for winning this game via the internet up to you incredible sods. I know you have it in you. Don't let me down. If we lose I'll blame each and every one of you.
