Of course UEFA would allow it. They changed their rules just to get liverpool in the competition. They can very easily allow something like this

No, it was to ensure the current holders were able to defend their trophy.

You keep making ****e up though. We're all ****ing pishing ourselves laughing at your ignorance.

That's true. The SFA changed their rules to get Rangers into the lower leagues so you're right and no one disagreed with that.

have you been drinking?

even if uefa allowed this (which they never would), there is no ****ing way celtic would play this game. even if we had a decent team and thought we would spank them.

this is not celtic's decision, this is a uefa decision.

Some fanny on CQN actually used the phrase "I feel that we have inadvertently besmirched our name."

Aye because it was Celtic who cannae fill a form in right.

We were poor and deserved to go out. Some poor guy filling in a form wrong doesn't mean we should get another chance. It was an honest mistake.

They didn't realise the player had to be registered for the ban to count. They wouldn't have put him on otherwise as they were already through.

It is bleeding obvious. Do you think they were trying to be clever and get round the ban?

instead of having a 24 man squad Berg and Legia decided 25 men would be better. If UEFA ignored that they would be giving Carte Blanche for every team to do the same. The whole point of player bans in Europe is to punish the Club by reducing the available squad pool of the offending team.

Instead of being disadvantaged for 3 games - as per UEFA rules - they gained an advantage for 3 games.

we were poor and we did deserve to go out. no one is disputing that. it's not a case of they didn't fill a form out. they did not include him in their squad for st pats. this means he did not miss two of the games he was banned from playing in and when he came on against celtic he was still banned and should not have played. case ****ing closed.

i acknowledge he had no bearing on the result but that has **** all to do with it

An easy mistake to make but I don't see how we should benefit from it. You all said you didn't want rangers titles handed to celtic if they were stripped. How is this different?

What's yer point Eric? Do you think Celtic's reputation will be sullied because we've accepted a place back in the CL at Legia's expense?

The world doesn't give a ****.

My point is it is only fair we replay the match. It was a honest mistake but the punishment doesn't fit the crime in this instance.

Progressing in this manner is not what Celtic are about.
