Unknown foreign manager with Champions League experience? Paulo Fonseca

"I would like one day to come to England and manage one team. I don't know when it will be but I believe one day it will happen.*

"With regards to the team I would like to manage - I am currently with Shakhtar and this is the team I want to manage.

"My heart and soul are with them but maybe in future I will consider managing another team."

So 10 pages so far... how many before we actually have a position to fill? <laugh>
Win on Saturday, couple of draws, maybe get past Leicester in the League Cup, tells me that there won’t be a vacancy any time soon. Sparky is not the problem! All previous names mentioned will have no more luck than him getting this squad back on track. Some of them have seen 3 managers and backroom staff, not a great context to getting great results!

Hughes did well to keep us up last season, he is not a terrible manager. He’s not exactly dynamic but certain players ie Bertrand and tadic really improved when he came in.

The squad is weak and we don’t have stand out quality in any position. Particularly attacking mid.

Reactions: Brinkworth Saint
How about Dan Petrescu? Manages in China at the moment and as an ex-player will have had the saints bar-code installed for activation

I’d be worried that his non-footballing activities would detract from his focus on managing Saints.

Animal lovers of Hampshire would be happy and perhaps he could have @Saint Helen assist him....
